AP Govt. has invested a lot to build up/ renovate the property. Rooms are spacious with very good furnitures, washrooms/ bathrooms are spacious fitted with high quality accessories. The pool was not in operation and Wi-Fi service was not available due to renovation work. This should have been informed to customer while reserving rooms through online portal; I personally think there should be a partial refund/ discount as every item/ service gets accounted while charging me for the room (tariff). Upon expressing my grief, the staff said "go and complain to the head office/ govt., we can't do anything."
Most important, the service quality was pathetic and disappointing. The behaviour and helpfulness of staffs was very poor. Rooms were not provided with glasses and upon enquiring, the staff informed that glasses are not supposed to be provided (they expect we should drink water directly from bottle). They refused to serve morning tea at our rooms though in the previous night they assured tea at rooms. Any service requests put to them, the first response was "No"/ "Not possible".
As nights/ mornings are usually cold at Araku, water kettle should be included at all types of rooms. However upon request, mosquito repellent was provided.
Quality of breakfast was good with less spread (idli, dosa and upma).
Overall, the stay was ok. 5 star to AP Govt. for the investment on infrastructure. 1 star to the service quality and attitude of staffs
