A beautiful store! We had a weaving class with Erin . She was amazing and explained everything. The ambiance was great. If you are looking for beautiful yarn and great classes this is your place!

Stopped by Aranea Craft Studio and it was the first shop I’ve seen that has weaving and classes. Super friendly staff and great selection of supplies.

A peaceful place to get your yarn and weaving supplies, they have a really nice selection and extremely helpful staff, and if you're really lucky, you'll get greeted by their dog, who's the sweetest.

Love visiting this store ! They have a nice selection of high quality yarn, some great knitting books , even a loom . They came rewind the yarn if you buy it from them. Super service and personalized attention :)

A lovely yarn shop with with a nice selection of everyday workhorse yarns as well as indie dyers and more yummy selections. There are also looms, wheels, and a fabric section.

I walked in and told the owner that I'd like to get into crocheting. I asked for suggestions on needles and yarn and she immediately knew what to recommend despite my vague desire. I am now addicted to crocheting. It's the only craft I've ever actually enjoyed. I can't wait to drop in on the maker studio!! Prices seem reasonable but the biggest thing is that I love how personable the owner is. Can't wait to go further down the crochet rabbithole.

Their staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The products they carry cater to my projects and often I want to buy more. Because the selection is irresistible. Also, the atmosphere is cozy, so I can make a gauge patch to really scope out my project needs. Must visit if you are a beginner or in need of project repair.

Erin's Craft Studio is Beautiful! Great selection of different Brands of Yarn, Wonderful Color choices, excellent quality. Her Fabric is Beautiful as well. Erin has something great going on there, I can highly recommend. Great friendly service and welcoming atmosphere in the Craft Studio.

I have taken classes and made purchases at Aranea. I have asked for advice and shared experiences as well. Aranea is one of those satisfying Craft Studios that draw customers back again and again because it feels like home.

This is a small individually own shop. The shop owner is fabulous and very helpful. The atmosphere in the store is just charming. I would recommend this shop to anybody. She offered to wind my wool into a ball for me. The owner operator comes with a charming dog. So sweet.

Aranea Craft Studio is a warm and welcoming local shop, promoting community and learning within the fiber arts. They have wonderful small classes for weaving, crochet, knitting, and more. They have beautiful yarns and loads of knitting supplies and services. They have an incredibly knowledgable staff. They have social stitching groups. Free parking in the back, and a short walk to the parking structure by the Hayward Main Library, with charging stations. Check it out.

Knitting, crocheting, and weaving and spinning, oh my! Good boy Jasper will welcome you with tail wagging. Plenty of yarn from brands like Bay Farm Dye Haus (hyper local!), Woolfolk, etc. and you can learn to weave! There are looms of all sizes and beautiful samples to tempt you. Downtown Hayward is pretty cool, too.

South Alameda County has plenty of crafty folks and yet we are in a knitting / yarn desert. Thank goodness for Aranea Craft Studio. The folks here are very nice. They make sure to answer any question you have but also give you a wide berth of personal space. I love that. I already took a Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving Workshop with Erin and am now signed up for a Cocoknits Method Sweater Workshop with Leslie. I've been knitting on and off (mostly off) for 20+ years but I've never been ballsy enough to try a sweater. But I've always wanted to. The fact that they offer it at Aranea (and that I've already taken a workshop) made me decide to finally take the leap. I'm no expert on knitting supplies but they sell high-quality yarn and knitting accoutrement at reasonable prices. I have most of my supplies just because I've been knitting for so long (on and off) but I've purchased a few things needed and certainly purchased yarn for the workshops I'm enrolled in and it's all so pretty and soft. I haven't taken advantage of their Saturday Open Knit but anticipate I will once I start the sweater workshop series.

Thank you for such a great intro to sewing class, Erin! I feel so much more confident with working a sewing machine, and I'm excited to hem some pants and play around now that I know the basics.

I went in recently and there was a yarn class happening. As soon as I opened the door everyone stopped and just turned to look at me. It made me feel uncomfortable like I wasn't welcomed. No one said anything to me for several minutes and it didn't feel welcoming. The yarn selection was very small and nothing like the image. They only seemed to knit there so I didn't feel comfortable asking questions.. they only seemed to have super expensive hanks of yarn and no easy pricing. Just not a place for me. Made me feel super uncomfortable and unwelcoming to new people..

Fantastic supply of really beautifully-died yarns. Comfortable, welcoming ambiance, with friendly and knowledgeable service--especially towards those like myself who are brand new to knitting. Very glad I tried to find a local shop before shopping major retailers, will be back!

Just completed Weaving class with Reba. Hands on training with a small loom. Great class. Walk out door with something beautiful! Love my scarf.

Attended the Weaving/Loom class taught by Erin yesterday! I recently moved to Hayward and have been trying to find a craft for me. The loom class was lovely and each one of us was given the patience and time needed to learn the craft. I have bought yarn here before and it is always beautiful. The store offers to "cake" your yarn for you after purchase, and has a crafting hang out kind of space on Saturdays. Very welcoming to a young crafter! Worth checking out!

I was in Hayward, and happened to be wearing a dress I have wanted to make a cardigan for, so I stopped in on this lovely yarn store . I am so glad I did. Erin has a nice selection of high quality yarns and supplies. Yarn is not cheap and her pricing is very reasonable for a small shop. I found the perfect yarn for my project. She also had weaving, spinning, and Sashiko supplies. Also a small selection of fabric and some really great books and magazines. It feels like her store is becoming a hub for the maker/crafter/ fiber artists/slow fashion communities. I hope everyone will go out and support her. Spaces like hers are so important. I was really happy to get to meet Erin the owner personally. The upcoming Classes were mostly sold out (which is wonderful!) There are a lot of cool things coming up. There is a comfortable space for sitting and working, and I wanted to stay longer than I was able. I liked getting to see and learn about what Erin herself was working on. The best thing about Erin's store is the complete lack of pretense and snobbery. I get the feeling there are no dumb questions. The second best thing is Erin's looms with works in progress on them, which are a treat to see. Well done Erin! I am wishing Erin the best. I am so thrilled to learn of this store.

Fabulous local knitting supply and so much more shop! Lovely selection of beautiful yarns and supplies as well as a variety of classes. Erin and Leslie are hospitable and talented crafters as well as excellent teachers. I LOVE this shop!

I am an avid knitter and always travel to out of town to find yarn store because there is not any yarn stores in my town but Joanne's. To my surprise I see there is finally a yarn store in my town! They have a great selection of quality yarns, plenty of parking, and helpful staff. They also have fabric!! This place will definitely become my go to spot.

Very excited there is finally a yarn shop in Hayward! I stopped in the shop in December and enjoyed getting to see their beautiful yarn in person. I have a personal preference to not buy Cascade yarn which made up a good percentage of the available yarn. No matter, there was still plenty to look at!

Erin is incredibly helpful in a gorgeous space with fantastic offerings. And all those antique looms and weaving frames! It makes me want to make more beautiful stuff.

I am so happy to have a yarn store in my area. The owner is friendly, the selection is good, and it feels very welcoming. There is an open crafting on Saturdays that makes it more homey.

I was thrilled to discover we now have a lovely yarn store and studio in Downtown Hayward! No more driving 30+min to find good yarn! It is owned by a woman "born and raised" in Hayward. She already has a collection of high quality yarn, is offering classes and intends to expand into spinning. The address is 943 C St. Hayward CA 94541, there is parking in the back. Please drop by and support this great addition to our City.

A real gem! There are no yarn shops for miles and miles and miles around, Hayward is so lucky to have Aranea. Leslie and Erin are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The shop offers classes too! Free and easy parking in the lot behind the building and on the street.

I was so happy to find this lovely yarn and fabric shop in Downtown Hayward a couple of weeks ago. I was in need of some Cascade yarn - a great yarn that most chains do not sell. The owner, Erin, is very helpful and the experience was wonderful. Good parking, too. I've already been back once and will be returning - I prefer to support local businesses when I can instead of buying online.

I visited this sweet shop last month not too long after it's opening. I received a warm welcome from the owner and the group that was knitting/crafting at the big table. The shop was still in the process of being set up, but there was a really nice selection of yarn already on display on the wall and some cool accessories/notions available. It's location in downtown Hayward offered plenty of free parking and proximity to lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be visiting again!
