Aranya Tourist Lodge

One of the best property in Whole Kaziranga to stay, it is run by Assam tourism department. They have very spacious rooms for reasonable price. The location is very beautiful, near central range Kohora Mihimukhand behind Hatikhuli tea estate. This place has a large compound and very enjoyable for birders as the compound itself is a birding hotspot. Barking deers, squirrels and even leopards may come within the compound. The place is very quiet and surrounded with trees. They have standard and deluxe rooms in main building and also few cottages. Their food was decent and the price was also ok.

We have stayed in this beautiful property during march 2024...It was a big family tour with 19 members...We rented cottages...they are beautiful...but walls on some of them showing damp marks may be because the heavy rainfall it suffers throughout the year...otherwise it was a pleasant stay, food is good and staff behaviour is exceptional...they always made us feel home away from home...their concierge desk arranged for our jeep and elephant safari without any hassle.|If you are lucky then you might get a glimpse of one or two barking deer right inside property during sunrise (myself being an early riser saw one).||Don't miss the elephant safari if you want to see rhino up-close. Kaziranga itself is very rich in wildlife...rhinos, elephants, deer and water buffalos are very commonly found games during jeep safari... even odds of catching a glimpse of tiger I feel much higher in this game reserve than other reserves like much hyped Corbett , Sunderbans,Bandipur, Periyar etc. that I visited.

WOnderful place to stay with family, very big rooms. but slightly away from main road (05KM), will be difficult in go by walk in night as it is pitch dark. Very close to central zone & bio diversity park.

An Assam government property. Located in a convenient area for safari, very near to booking counter. Room is great inside but the building may require a facelift. Room is specious and well equipped. Toilet is clean, with water heater. Canteen does not have a long list for choice of menu, but decent for a forest lodge. All staffs are cordial. The compound outside is well maintained. Overall a very pleasant experience for me in my three days stay here.

This govt property is in the mid of kaziranga kohora range. The property is huge with gardens all around. The maintenance is very inappropriate The corridors, verandah, floor, cutains, furniture are all very dirty. The room charges are very low, only rs 1600 for standard big spacious room. No lift facilities. It is evident huge investment is needed to maintain such resort. The property if maintened properly can charge rs 5000 per room and marketed properly, may be the best and better than the other expensive pvt resort. Otherwise the resort will remain unattractive.

Although the location is amazing. It's right in the kohra range( famous for tiger sightings) , although the campus is amazing, I really hope they would have maintained the place better. The more expensive cottages have rooms that are worse than normal rooms. Having said that- if you are looking for a cheap place this might be it. Food was average. Our room had a misty stink- so be sure to check the room before confirming.

This lodge is located close to the main entrance of kaziranga national park. The property is very open. Situated in the greenery, Rooms are specious, big and well ventilated. Room rate is very cheap considering the size of each room. Room service is good. Their restaurant supplies good food at a reasonable rate.💕.🙂.

The resort is a big property in a very pretty location. The people are really helpful and friendly. However, the building is in need of maintenance. The double beds provided are really single beds / mattresses pushed into one big bed which makes it uncomfortable to sleep in. The small cons aside, its worth the money they charge.
