Oldest private restaurant in Hungary after communism. Food was spectacular. Served by the owner, the founder’s son, and his grandson.

Very cozy place with tasty food and good atmosphere. We got goulash and it was simply fantastic. Staff are very friendly as well.If you like puppies you might be greeted by Turbo the main guy in charge here 🐶 Overall I highly recommend this place to anyone.

The food here was very very tasty, we had the goulash soup, frittates and pork cut (sadly 13:30 was too early for the stuffed cabbage but I bet it would've also been really good) Amazing place, deserves more recommendations, goulash was so full of flavor!

If you ever visit this beautifull city north of Budapest, I highly recommend to stop here and enjoy a really good meal. It is small with only 6 /7 tables inside. I had a cold tomato soup with pickles with cheese whch was superb. My wife had fried squid, which is difficult to find well done, but they were fresh and soft. I recommend the pork as I never had such succulent and crisp pork with a salty sauerkraut and mashed potato with gravy. My wife had an delicious duckbreast and as desert we took strawberry tiramisú which was creamy but not clear why they name It strawberry tiramisú as there were no strawberries but raspberries. With drinks and coffee we spent only €72. Presentation of the food was excellent as well.

A lovely authentic place with a relaxed atmosphere. Attentive service. Foods great. Had house wine for only 900 forints!! Very good wine. Prices are very good for food too. Worth a visit while in szentendre. I reserved a place for 14:00, but when I got there, there had been no need ..so try your luck.

Nice restaurant in a cute small (though touristy) city. I got tasting menu II which was amazing and featured goose liver, a berry fruit soup, salmon, pork tenderloin and this cheese dumpling with fruit sauce. Every dish was amazing - key highlights were the goose liver "burger" and both fruit courses (refreshing and summery). The quality and quantity of the food was tops. Portions were big for a "tasting menu" so come hungry! This is a place I'll come back to again.

Worth 6 stars, if that were an option. It is difficult to choose a restaurant in this small little town with so many options, but if you are looking for amazing value for really flavorful and typical Hungarian food I really recommend this spot. It is a small place but the food we had was all really good. I had the Dragon's Bullion with bone marrow toast. The soup had great flavor and the toast was served with a hunk of split beef bone full of marrow. It was amazing. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere matches the charm of the town.
