Stopped by to have a traditional lunch The food is tasty. I had gypsy roast, the sauce makes it so much better. We were served quickly. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we visited except some people having drinks but it may be better to reserve in advance during peak times.

Busiest day of the year and they had space to accommodate us. Good food fairly priced and decent service. My only complaint is that the ice was Kaput! Had Pork Loin and Weiner Schnitzel pretty tasty. Good location just off the Danube. Would recommend a visit as it's local and it local dishes.

We had the misfortune to have lunch here one winter Sunday. It was the only place open in the area so we chose it out of necessity rather than choice. The mushrooms and dumplings were nice but small but the schnitzel was a very generous portion. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was greasy and the accompanying fried potatoes were hard as rocks and looked like they had been by refried numerous times, I noticed other tables sending them back uneaten so I suspect that they may be recycled! Added to the bad food the staff were rather surely.

Might be the worst bar in Budapest. Visited randomly on St. Stephen’s Day, as my friend and I needed to use their restroom. I told the server that I would have 2 gin and tonics, but please let us use the restroom. He proceeded to body block us to the restroom and wouldn’t let us through until he saw my transaction go through. He charged us 6000 HUF (approximately 20$ USD) for the drinks pictured. Absolutely horrible bar, rude staff, and terrible drinks. The charges are being disputed and I recommend anyone (both local and foreign) avoid these awful people at all cost.

This is the most famous wild food restaurant in Budapest. Very good service, good food, beautiful setting. Boar dishes are exceptional. So are the Gundel chocolate pancakes. Recommended! It is strange that evening dining is not popular at the moment.

Very cool establishment. Delicious food, friendly staff, excellent service. Spent time with the company, got great pleasure. Marked for myself as a place where you can come and spend time with friends or two. Special thanks for taking care of the dog. Grade 5+. I recommend to visit.

Worst restaurant experience in Budapest. The staff were extremely rude and disrespectful towards customers. We only stopped by for a simple coffee and lemonade, but right after serving us, the waiter mentioned that payment had to be made in cash. We explained that we only had cards and politely asked if it was possible to pay with card. Instead of giving a clear answer, he looked at us with disdain, turned his back, and ignored us. When I approached him again, he finally—very rudely—said yes. However, when it came to paying, he charged us more than the listed prices. When I pointed this out, he claimed it was the “service tax.” I explained that no one had informed us about this, just like they hadn’t warned us beforehand about the supposed cash-only policy. His response? “Did you ask?”—in the most dismissive and arrogant way possible. On top of that, the service fee he charged was more than 10%, which is unacceptable. When I told him it was unfair and misleading, he angrily insisted that I had to pay. Truly an awful experience—rude staff, hidden fees, and a complete lack of respect for customers. Inform yourselves before going here.

Worst restaurant experience in Budapest. Rude staff and attitude towards customers. After arriving to just have a lemonade and a coffee, the waiter only after serving the things we ordered mentioned that it needed to be in cash. Me and my friend told him that we only had card and asked if it would be possible to pay with card. He looked at us with disdain, turned around and ignored us. Then I went to talk with him to ask if it would be ok to pay with card and he, rudely, said yes. When I went to pay the coffee and lemonade, he charged us more and I told him that it was not the correct price for the things we consumed. He said that it was the service tax. I replied saying that no one has warned us (as they haven’t warned beforehand that we could only pay with cash). His reply was rudely “Did you ask?”. I said that he should have mention it before and that still the price was incorrect as he was charging us more than 10% of tax service. He just rudely and angrily said that I needed to pay. Please inform yourselves before going to this place.
