"Arapahoe Basin, a small indie in Colorado known for its long season, expert terrain, and raucous après tailgating, was able to put new safety protocols in place and briefly resume operations in May, upholding its reputation for being open later than any other outfit in North America."

Loved this place with my daughter this past weekend.. staff and other skiers and riders were happy, just an enjoyable time overall. The woman at the guest services from Indianapolis was really kind to my eight year old and shared best trails/places to ride in the trees. Will be back, came from Wisconsin for very late season riding.

They're open into late spring, with pretty fair lift ticket prices and a decent variety of runs, so for anyone trying to hit the slopes after core season, this is definitely a spot to consider! It does seem to be a more intermediate and expert favorable mountain, there are only a few green runs.

Great variety of trails & terrain. Loved the atmosphere of the place, not too busy. Snow conditions were great mid-March Get there early to park close by!

This mountain typically is windy and the high altitude makes it hard to get acclimated. This day was a bluebird day with light winds and beautiful snow. Couldn’t ask for a better day. No crowds and it was a work function so everything was paid for. The fact that the ticket was paid for and everything else makes life a lot easier.

Great resort! Price for lifts and snowboarding classes for kids are much cheaper than other resorts. We enjoyed 7 days of practicing snowboarding ! Staff was helpful and kind. Beautiful view and great slopes. We will come back next year 100%.

I loved this ski resort! The staff was kind and helpful. The trails were clearly marked and it was easy to tell where to go. The equipment was satisfactory and the ski lifts seemed safe and in good working order. I am not an avid skier at all so I appreciated the beginner area. It was easy to navigate and flat enough to keep me from constantly wiping out. It was a really great slope to learn on and I had improved within a matter of hours because of the ease that the slope created. The guy working the lift was especially kind and encouraging and I really needed and appreciated that. We tried a couple of other ski locations in that general area of Colorado but Arapahoe was by far our favorite and we will absolutely be returning there in the future as well as recommending Arapahoe to everyone. The amenities were great. 6th Alley was an incredible restaurant. The buildings and bathrooms were clean. Locker rental was affordable and the lockers were roomy. Great experience!

This is definitely more of a locals destination. It doesn't have all the trappings of a big resort. Despite (or because) of that, it is an amazing place to ski or snowboard. Lots of options for different levels of experience, including some crazy routes that require you to hike a ways to get there. Like most ski resorts in the mountains, the lifts close around 3-4 pm, and sadly, they didn't start running until 9 am. It's a good idea to try to get there early and be ready right away. But even though that doesn't seem like a lot of time, you still feel like you're getting the full experience. I had a blast in the Montezuma bowl. The routes through the trees were so much fun. Be sure to watch out for protruding rocks and roots. They have marked most of them on the main trails, but not so in the back country, and there's a few spots that can trip you up. The price of food was rather expensive, but their pizza slices were big and delicious. And obviously the views are incredible. Great place to hit the slopes. You have to check out the Legend that is A-Basin.

Favorite mountain period. Very technical terrain. Ned loved early morning hikes up and running down. We don't know what happens next year now that it is sold.... From the local mountain where we tailgated and made slope side jambalaya in beach slots to a corporate who knows what... Can't blame them for selling, but sad to see the end of an era.
