A peaceful garden to breathe cleaner air in between the jam of city. Some part of the park is quite old, whereas the rest is replanted after being destructed during WW2. A map is given at the entrance so that you can orient yourself. Mini hint: The arboretum is smaller than you think when you have a look at the map. A brilliant escape point for everyone.

Really cute experience with a variety of flowers. We enjoyed just walking around and experiencing the atmosphere. A cat even greeted us, which made our day. It's kinda unnecessary that they have a bird cage, though. The man that sold us the tickets was really cute. Super passionate and kind.

Nice and beautiful garden with vast collection of domestic and international plants. Disclaimer: I visited in late June 2025, 10 am to 5 pm. I can spend hours here. It has WC and decent small restaurant to quench your thirst after a long nice walk among the bushes and under the fir or through the weeping willow surrounding the ponds. Remember to ask for an access card to enter a separate secluded garden accross the back entrance. Here you will be spoiled by the enormous variety of edible plants, from roots to petals and fruits. But, you are not allowed to pick them ya. When you finish, please stop by the gift shop. Here you can purchase few things that you have seen in the garden; gardening equipments and alike. If you happen to live in the area of Rotterdam, you can join the social worker group maintaining the garden. The schedule is usually on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays through all seasons. Please like my review if you find it helpful. Thank you.

Arboretum Trompenburg is a beautiful garden and flower museum that I really enjoyed visiting. The entrance is free, and you can go in through the little flower shop near the front. I spent a couple of peaceful hours walking around, enjoying the variety of trees, flowers, and birds. There are small bridges over canals that add a lot of charm to the place and make the views even more special. There’s also free parking available, which makes visiting even more convenient. In one part of the garden, there’s a large bird enclosure with finches, Chinese doves, quails, and a few other small birds. It’s lovely to see them, although if you care about animals being free, it might feel a bit sad to see them inside a cage. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and peaceful walks.

A beautiful garden to visit. We went there in the Spring and there were so many trees and plants in bloom. Very peaceful, beautifully set out and cared for, with a huge variety of trees, and plants from around the world, including a cactus greenhouse. The garden also houses a shop/cafe at the entrance and a restaurant at the opposite end of the gardens where you can enjoy lunch. Well worth a visit!

Nice garden with natural look outskirts of Rotterdam city. Some old trees provides canopy on the overall area and smaller shrubs are beautifully arranged, making the overall landscapes simply breathtaking. Each trees are labelled with scientific and common names, and some trees are also equipped with urban legend story. There’s ample cafes and chairs along the walkway for resting. Birds and ducks can spotted roaming freely in the park, and the pathways are clean and well kept. The entrance fees are €11 and the view is worth the fees. It took over an hour to complete the whole area, which are separated by 2 small rivers on west and east side of the arboretum. However, some parts of the river are not flowing and eutrophication can be seen from the bridge. Overall, nice park for nature education and easy strolling

Beautiful idyllic garden, peaceful and serene. It has varieties of trees, lots of little water bodies, canals with quaint bridges over them. There are 2 cafés to stop at, a greenhouse for cacti, a barn, oriental trees and other sights. Great for your walk or to meditate.
