Arboretum Zürich

I LOVE this park. Even though usually it's very crowded (mostly during weekends), during the week it's so nice and a good place to bring children for them to run around!

Beautiful surrounding landscape and views of Lake Zurich! Highly recommend checking out.

Lovely park on the shore of the lake. Nice spot to people watch or have lunch. We were at the opposite side of the park from Old Town and were able to walk there in about 25 minutes. It was a nice walk.

A nice park in a crowded city, a source for shadow on a hot summer day. The parc is simple and used by people to have lunch during the day, to do sports, to stay in the sun. It is very crowded when it's hot outside, barely getting a free spot in the shade.

Visiting Zurich and absolutely fell in love with this park. Great place to meet with friends and enjoy some time to relax and just slow down the time. If you plan to have a picnic and bring long sleeves, the mosquitos show up after 20:30 pm

Amazing place for jumping in the water next to the boat and grill or stay with friends! Going after a nice workout and than see all that people that are relaxing. and the grass than is so green and well maintained! I would like to spend more time! The pictures are self explanatory! 😍 it is a great place

The marina bay nearby is great! Beautiful on summer Good for picnic to bring family, friends and dogs if you have one hahahahahha Few Restaurants and food stalls are around for drinks and food or a great wine or beer Recommended for visit when in Zurich

Lohe this place in mid old town Zurich. It's near the lake and the view is stunning. I love to walk around in every time of the year, it's quiet gorgeous weather it's sunny or snowy. In this time of the year there's a lot of festivals and so going on so there's always something to see. The ambience is very nice and if you want you can take the round tour with ship on the lake and enjoy a cup of hot swiss chocolate

Nice park with beautiful trees and green space along the lake. Toilets and benches available, with various winding paths both paved and gravel. Nice to check out while passing through.

This park is a nice patch of grass at Enge on the edge of Lake Zurich. In the summer months, there are tons of people laid out on the grass sunbathing, having picnics, throwing Frisbees around, or just chilling with their dogs. You can also wade into the lake for a swim, although it's not so convenient to go in from all the large rocks because it's not a proper swimming area. But it's free to enter from here, so lots of people go for a dip. In the cooler months, it's still nice for a stroll to watch the birds swimming in the lake. There are various ducks and swans swimming about and the occasional fisherman, although I've never seen anyone catch anything here.

There are two places near Burkliplatz that one can have a nice BBQ/picnic on a warm day: (1) Arborteum near Enge, or at (2) China Wiese [in front of the Chinagarten] near Bellevue. The arboretum is the right place for those who want to show off their booty and immerse in a "fun to be young" bikini frisbee/volleyball/football crowd. It is a place to see, and to be seen. You can also BBQ/picnic there, but the land area is smaller, and is shadier/cooler. If you are looking for a much bigger stretch of land with more sunshine then you should head to China Wiese. China Wiese is also more geared to a mixed crowd, from families, couples, friends, groups, etc. On the weekends you can also catch the excitement of watching tight rope walkers practice their gig, which is missing from the Arboteum since there are less trees.
