Myself and a friend stayed here for only one night unfortunately. |Having read the two reviews the previous day, I was a little apprehensive as to what we would find. ||Yes, it's not in Husavik (which it doesn't claim to be), and yes it is down a 2km private road. But at the end of that road is a lovely clean and bright hostel. The kitchen and dining room are spacious, clean and well equipped. |The rooms while simply furnished have everything you could need, the bathrooms again are clean and modern. ||The large common area with leather sofas and foot rests is a real highlight, a perfect place to read in the evening. ||And in the entrance hall there's a nice seating area offering great views of the valley. ||The owner was very friendly and helpful, and although her English wasn't great she insured we had everything we needed and answered any questions. Especially when the wifi wasn't working, she even called her grandson to come take a look at it. ||We loved this hostel and would happily stay again, and recommend it to others.

The commen kitchen is good and well equipped. The room we got was 2 single beds, and they were comfy.|If you don't mind being a little bit far away from a village(husavik is 15mn drive),so it is amazing! The view from the hostel is breathtaking!

A typical Icelandic hostel, clean an comfortable. We took a triple room with a shared shower and toilet. Neat, clean, convenient, good WiFi, plenty of parking space next to the hostel. The toilet and shower are also tidy although many people lived at the same time. Excellent communication with the owner before arrival. The accommodation location fully lived up to expectations and met the description. A little bit far from Husavik but easy to find because Google knows well and shows the way to the hostel correctly. Travel from hostel to Husavik in about 15 minutes. In the morning there are rush hours in the kitchen, but there is a lot of space for everyone. Only if you are in a hurry, then washing dishes will be a challenge, so you need to count this case. We had bought whale watching tour in Husavik at 9am it had to make everything very fast. Thanks for stay.

This hostel is located near a farm outside Husavik on a gravel road. It definitely requires a car to stay here. When we were there, the hostel was overbooked, and they put us in a lovely fishing cabin. I don't think that would usually happen, but we certainly appreciated it. The staff member we met was really nice and answered all our questions. We were happy with our experience at this hostel.

The hostel is very basic but comfortable. No frills but very inexpensive with beautiful scenery. Showers were a bit cold but nothing too bad

The hostel is in a remote place, quite hard to access (the road is tiny and damaged). But it looks neat, it's cleaned, the kitchen is functional and everything is comfortable. Compared to other hostels we ve been to, it's really great.

The hostel consists of two parts - one old and one new. We got a room in the old part and had quite poor beds and simple bathrooms, but when we looked into the new part we saw a much better bathroom and pretty lounge. The common kitchen and dining room are spacious and well equipped so that lots of people can be accommodated. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights last year and had no issues at all. Yes, it's a small drive to Husavik but that didn't bother us. It's nice to stay outside of towns and cities! We had a nice view from our room, everything was clean. I would stay here again.
