Arbuste Café Caen

First day of our road trip through France, and I couldn’t have been happier to find this bustling little vegan coffee shop. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, a perfect contrast to the wet and miserable weather outside. The service was friendly, but the real star of the show was definitely the coffee. It was so good that I had to double-check my judgment… by ordering another flat white. And yes... it was just as perfect the second time!

What a great place for coffee lovers. From the music to the pastry everything is in balance. The staff is very friendly and they welcome you for every coffee adventure of your dreams.

OMG! This is probably the best coffee shop I've been to in France. The quality of the coffee, which is being roasted before our eyes, is outstanding. The smoothies were delightful and served in beakers (so fun!). The baked goods were to die for. And the atmosphere is so stylish! We loved it.

This little coffee shop & roaster has an amazing location and terrace right in front of the castle, on the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful regarding the specialty coffee selection they offer. Food looks great but I didn’t try. Coffee makes it down one star, the extraction was off, everything was over extracted, and a bit too “medium” (as they say), especially for the v60, but I’m sure the guys will do their best to improve it! Keep it going!

On our way home from holiday, we made a quick detour through Caen to stop at this coffee bar, and we’re glad we did. Easily the best coffee we had in France. The cappuccino was smooth and perfectly balanced. Staff were friendly, even just before closing. Worth a stop for any coffee lover :)

Really good coffee! I had a flat white, and it was the nicest one I had all trip! Food options very limited (a few different types of cake) but you go here for the coffee! Nice outside sitting area too with views of the castle.

Updated to 1 star ---- Visited there at the end of August, cappuccino is ok, just be aware that oat milk is the default option. I also took 500g coffee beans, the card was lost so not sure of the exact name, seems the beans are not evenly roasted since it always made my grinder got stucked. I tried a few settings, then just gave up, it's a shame. And they don't accept MasterCard.
