Arc de Triomf

The Arc de Triomf was so grand and impressive! The weather was great, so I just walked over to Ciutadella Park (Parc de la Ciutadella) from there. It's not usually a high priority in guidebooks, but it's pretty close to the Palau de la Música Catalana, so it might be a good idea to check it out while you're in the area.

Arc de Triomf in Barcelona was built as the main entrance to the 1888 Universal Exposition and is known for its distinctive red-brick design and decorative details. It sits at the start of a wide promenade that leads toward Ciutadella Park. I visited after sunset, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel very safe in the area at that time. There were quite a few people lingering around the benches, and one person approached me from a short distance, which made me uncomfortable, so I quickly walked away. Because of that experience, I’d recommend visiting during the daytime, especially for solo travelers. The arch itself is nice to see, but for me, it wasn’t one of the most impressive landmarks in the city.

A beautiful square in the heart of Barcelona where so many people come to relax and work out. The monuments are so beautiful and a must see. Its usually a very busy area though. Not too far from the Picasio museum.

Arc de Triomf is a beautiful and peaceful place, even with many visitors around. 🌴 The atmosphere is pleasant and perfect for a walk or relaxing moment. I honestly think it is even more beautiful than the Arc de Triomphe in Paris!

Stunning building, great historic significance as it was built for one of the world fairs hosted in barcelona. Always worth to visit and take a walk nearby. It’s close to parc de la Ciutadella or “el born” where you can go for a nice stroll.
