NOT EXHIBITING HERE AGAIN! As an artist that actually exhibited at Arc gallery. I didn’t take kindly the “treats” and aggressive behavior I received from this gallery. They don’t like to work around artist’s schedules. Instead they are focused on belittling artists. For example a simple call about picking up art was turn into an abusive event. In which a “Arc member” started treating me through the phone about picking up my art work. This same member in anger hung up the phone while negotiating a time for a pickup. Later to call me “without apologizing for his prior behavior” and gave me an unreasonable 1 hour period, when I live 3 hours away. Or else I would have been charged a ridiculous $50 dollars per day fee (payments in cash only) so they don’t have to report it to the IRS, essentially practicing tax evasion. It’s truly an organization built upon tax evasion and taking advantage of artists. How they expect me to work with them again? Or pay $35 dollars from my hard earn money on entry fees, is beyond me. But one thing is for sure in order for artists to work with galleries again, the gallery needs to be civil enough for that to occur. Otherwise why participate or support galleries such as this one to exist? Recap: - They don’t work with artist’s schedules and needs. -Belittles its artists and threatens them. -Aggressive staff members. -IRS/Tax evaders, loop holing the States taxes in order to maximize profits from poor artists.

I had the good fortune to be one of the inaugural artists of Arc Studios & Gallery, staying for an entire decade - LOVED it! Being a part of Arc felt familial - some structure and leadership with regular well planned events, great community presence, and a well kept space along with lots of freedom to explore our creative paths. I felt the camaraderie and support even when much time passed between seeing each other. From perspective of exhibiting artist, art collector, studio artist, and visitor, Arc Studios & Gallery makes your experience top notch. Thank you!

I have been exhibiting at Arc since 2018 and have also had the good fortune to be able to rent a studio space at Arc. I have had a wonderful experience as both a studio artist and an exhibiting artist in the gallery space. The gallerists are very professional and well organized and have taken the utmost care with my work. The gallery space is warm and professionally lit. The shows are diverse and interesting and well curated. I'm proud to associate myself with this wonderful gem of a gallery.

Arc is a class act gallery with a wide variety of top notch national juried exhibitions as well as curated invitational exhibitions representing the outstanding creative diversity of the SF Bay Area. I have been fortunate to be an exhibiting artist at Arc as well as a resident studio artist. The facility is very well run and professionally presented. There is a strong sense of camaraderie between the artists as well as the patrons. Arc also provides various programs and events essential to the SF artist community.

Google
ARC is an awesome gallery representing the diversity of the Bay and West Coast in general for ten years now. I really love and appreciate how open and inviting to the community us artists this gallery is .Often the gallery is lent out not just other artists and art orientated organizations ,including to but not limited to music as well, but they also use the gallery to fundraise on behalf of women's shelters and causes such as HIV and mobile medical outreach for the homeless .It is great to see how they give a voice to all aspects and facets of the community Looking forward to another ten years !

As a visitor & open studios participant, I've always had a great experience here. Professionally run, well-curated exhibitions of local & national art. Easy to work with, straightforward guidelines for submission & prompt sales payments. A welcoming art space & important hub in the Bay Area artist community!

This gallery has a new show almost every month! Very well curated and while they mainly show local artists, twice a year they have national juried exhibitions where they show works from artists nationwide. Great spot to check out if you happen to be in SOMA on a Saturday afternoon

Yelp
Art galleries come in all shapes and sizes and this one is right there in the middle as far as size is concerned but is huge in its scope and vision. I personally loved the wondering multi level design of the interior. It was tasteful and thoughtfully executed. The dynamic local art expressed is truly an exceptional cross section of the SF art scene. Also the vibe at the gallery events at the first reception and the gallery show expressed a chic yet subdued feel. Those concerned with buying art were not hindered by red tape and those there to enjoy the art found delightful artists who were open, expressive, and engaged. According to the website: "Arc Studios & Gallery features 10 newly renovated artist studios, rental art gallery, art education center, and Blue Bottle Coffee." I highly recommend attending one of their upcoming events and noticing the inspiring and engaging art displayed which really captures the San Francisco feel.

Yelp
Arc Studios is a hidden gem in the SOMA district of San Francisco. Michael and his team do a phenomenal job of making full use of this cozy, intimate space. I've attended a few openings since the gallery opened and love the diverse mix of artists Arc Studios continues to attract.. In May, I attended this exhibit: http://www.arc-sf.com/consequences-on-line-gallery.html and loved the humorous as well as dark offerings available online and in the studio. I'm planning on attending Arc Studios next National Juried Exhibition of, "Masquerade", which opens end of October. I cannot wait to see what local and national artists bring to this lovely gallery! If you're searching for things to do while in San Francisco, make sure you take a moment to wander through SOMA and check out Arc Studios...definitely worth your while.

Yelp
This is a great place to visit. Arc Studios and Gallery, has a coffee and cookie shops. Gallery space to rent to show wonderful works of art. The building has studio spaces that are rented. The building is made up of several artists in mix media. Easy location to find in the South of Market of San Francisco. The day I visited with one of the managers Mr. Yochum, there was a series of artwork on displayed for the up coming Art Show for September 16, 2010. The Gallery rooms and lighting was every good for displaying artwork. Be sure to call for an appointment at (415) 298-7969 to see the galleries.

Yelp
One cannot call these exhibitions eclectic. The curation is thoughtful and witty. The gallery is delightfully focused on intriguing exhibitions. Whereas some gallerists focus on solo exhibitions and and end-of-year group exhibition, Arc challenges art lovers to think. After more than a decade working in the arts, I have no compunction in calling this gallery exceptional.

Yelp
Really cool gallery on Folsom street. There are several studios which are often open when there's shows! The owners Michael, Matt and Stephen are very friendly and the staff is super welcoming. The bartender is a swell guy!!

Yelp
I love this gallery space. They also have artists studios and hold regular exhibitions. Def work checking out if in the hood. A couple of the artists who have studios there are total standouts. The shows are very well curated and have clever themes.
