Arcade Independence Square

We recently went to Arcade - Independent Square to check it out about it new look . It has changed a lot now and many features have been added. We were always fascinated by the architecture here and its peaceful, harmonious surroundings. This is a great place to visit and spend some free time with your family, friends, or colleagues. Although it may seem a bit old-fashioned, you will appreciate its peaceful environment. There are also several shops for you to shop at here, and now, unlike before, there are restaurant stall full of delicious food and drinks.

Arcade Independence Square is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. It has great spaces for sports and exercise, a calm mind-relaxing area, and a well-maintained jogging track. The food court offers a nice variety of food items, making it easy to spend a full evening here. Clean, spacious, and perfect for all age groups. Highly recommended!

I recently visited Arcade - Independence Square in Colombo and had quite a pleasant experience. The restored colonial architecture is absolutely stunning — elegant façades, open courtyards, and greenery all around make it a delightful place to wander and take photos. Inside, you’ll find a nice mix of boutiques (both local and some international brands), cafes, and restaurants. The dining options are varied, from casual snacks to more refined meals. I particularly appreciated the calm, relaxed atmosphere — it’s not overly crowded or hectic like many big malls. Overall, Arcade - Independence Square is a must-visit in Colombo if you enjoy architecture, peaceful shopping, and a more upscale vibe.

Beautiful place to visit and near independence memorial. They have good food options

This area desperately needed a shopping mall and somewhere calm to have a walk. Independence Arcade is a place no one has ever expected. This shopping mall is one of a kind and serves everyone. I remember we went to the place as broke university students and had a good time and after 8 years going to this place to have a good time with having some money in my pocket. Unique and beautiful.

This was the first time I visited Arcade food court Vito fired wood pizza. It was wonderful place with in and out dinning areas. There were tables outside with two seatings and also with more seating capacity tables. There was also an outdoor sink to wash your hands. We choosed the outside table. If you are visiting in an evening time it is sunny but still can find a cool spot as there are plants kept around the outside dinning area. There was a little bit of crowd but as there was plenty of space to sit-down it was not an issue.(went on a Saturday evening) Their food were really genuine and tasted good. They give three types of sauces with their pizza(one is a bit spicy). We ordered Teriyaki chicken pizza with added mozeralla which was okay and nothing special. I think their most ordered beverage is milkshake and we got a chocolate and a vanilla. However, I ordered a chicken lasagna for take-out. However, when I tried it at home the lasagna sheets seems a bit overcooked, and the meat tasted a bit plain. Anyhow, they had me given the same three sauces with the taken with two wooden forks. Anyhow, the dine-in I enjoyed with the surrounding being comfortable and beautiful.

This is next to independence square, it has small food court and shopping places.. mostly deserted in the shops. Hope management improve or implement new facilities here and make more accessible and attractive areas for tourists and residents. I usually pass this place during weekend and it was crowded in weekends. Hope they improve the shops here and make more attractions without keeping empty
