Arcades Shopping Centre

Well worth a visit,lots of shops cafes etc.nice and warm in the winter and nice and cool in the summer

I used to love shopping in Ashton under lyne town centre but my parents and Grandparents would be devasted if they saw it now.We only go into the centre if we really have to now and as we live at the top end of Ashton our shopping is done elsewhere,apart from a regular meat delivery from 'Briggs butchers" in the market hall. We are done with Ashton town centre until there is a vast improvement and to be honest none of the towns in Tameside have any decent shops.There is a lot more to Ashton under lyne than the town centre. Replacing Tameside Council may be a good start to change for the better !!!..Ann English

Been going here for over a decade it's the local shops in the area and a stroll round once in a while is good, they are transforming it so post 2026 definitely visit if you're local

I came here last week with a friend and quite honestly wish I hadn’t. A good number of the shops are gone, everyone I saw was in a bad mood and the whole place smelled a very strange smell. It’s a shame because I used to like coming here when I lived nearby a few years ago.

Good range of shops and restaurants. Good public toilets and the car park is reasonably priced.

Good shopping centre in town.
