Arcea Hotel Mirador de Cabrales

Incredible location. Comfy enough bed, good staff, good restaurant on site. Don’t worry about the lack of parking, they have 5 spots and plenty on the street right in front. Perfect launch spot or end spot for the best hike of my lifetime. There are three hotels in town and this one is the Goldilocks of them all. Location, food, comfort. Enjoy

The location is great, surrounded by the mountains. The room was a bit old-fashioned, but not bad. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but you can order what you want and they don't charge you anything extra. But the best thing about this hotel is the owner/receptionist, Manolo, who really knows how to make you feel welcome. He suggested many interesting places to visit, both in the Picos de Europa and on the route to Santander.

Fantastic. The owner was so lovely, friendly and helpful. Great location near all the beautiful walks. Accomodation was fairly basic but exactly what we needed: clean and the food was a good quality. Hot showers, fresh mountain air surrounded by greenery. Only downside was the breakfast was fairly bread heavy but considering you only pay 5€ that was not really a big issue

Great location for hiking los Picos, especially la Ruta de Cares. People are very friendly. The rooms are good, and the water pressure in the shower is excellent. The food in the hotel restaurant is just what you need after a long day hiking.

This hotel was a wonderful home away from home in the mountains! The rooms were cozy and clean, and the restaurant food was good and affordable. Manolo, one of the employees we interacted with the most, went out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable. He memorized our breakfast orders and room number after just one day, and he constantly checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Mirador de Cabrales!

Fantastic location, right next to the Ruta de Cares trail. No luxury, but Clean and very functional. Personal and very flexible service. There’s no luxury. They also complemented our breakfast with some Serrano Ham free of charge as we are not very much into pastries. |Also offered the hotel services for us to change after finishing the trail.|Good honest service and accommodation

Really like the host/owner as other comments have said. Even if he doesn't speak your language you speak his. Rooms are okay. Clean but basic. Wifi is only on the lobby floor. But, your in the mountains. Read a book! Also food is amazing. The salads are really good

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights to explore the hiking trails in Picos de Europa such as the famous Ruta del Cares. ||The location can't be more perfect: you're at the start of the Ruta del Cares trail so if you start early you can beat the crowds. ||The hotel caters for walkers, rooms are simple but clean (it's a bit Eighties but everything works and is maintained). The staff is excellent. Wether it's the owner or his staff, everybody tries to do all they can to make you feel at home. ||Breakfast is basic but good, the bar/restaurant in the evening downstairs serves a few dishes, again, not high cuisine but honest good food. ||After a long day's walk, it was always great to settle down for the evening with some food and a cold beer (or a bottle of wine for next to nothing). ||The hotel and staff enhanced our experience in the National Park and I would book the same place if I would come back to do some more hiking.
