Archaeological Dolmens of Antequera

This was an unplanned last minute visit a the war the Alhambra and well worth it. The Places is spectacular, much more impressive than Stonehenge and 2000 years earlier , and you can actually walk in the structures. Entrance and museum is free , not overcrowded and well worth a visit . 15 mins of highway almost halfway between Seville and Granada. The museum has some pretty impressive Paleolithic and Neolithic artifacts .

This place is incredible! , This is a must visit if you are planning to visit Andalucía. One of the most fascinating Dolmen I have seen, am recommend you go museum to see the video firstly and you will know how it be build up

Very informative and interesting video on the mechanics of building the dolmen. Nice information centre with very clean toilets. Can visit two dolmen beside each other a short walk up the hill. No artistic engravings on the entrance stones, as they have in Newgrange, Ireland. But one dolmen contains an ancient well, which is unusual. Worth a visit if you are in the area. The video was the highlight for me. Pleasant staff.

This is an amazing place, really worth a visit. A wonderful museum. Ask at reception to view the video, which will explain the process of the building - an incredible feat of engineering! I actually found it very moving - to imagine our ancestors, who really weren't so very different from us.

Amazing constructions from 5000+ years ago. Amazing the size of the rock slabs they used. The museum exhibit is quite well done as well. And totally free, no admission fee.

This is an extremely well constructed exhibition centre and everything is very high quality. Sadly there is little detail about the sites. What text there is is difficult to read because of the lighting which is designed to look artistic, rather than to be easily read. The site is fantastic but a small investment in the practicalities would make it even better.

A bit disregarded but together with the Tholos a very important historical site; Dolmen of Menga is still as it was a long long time ago! to be visited! no tickets for EU citizens; Unesco site.

If you are an Archeology Buff, this is a must see. We stumbled across it. Free access and does not take much time to visit the three locations. Wish they would open up more in the tombs, but the museum is still interesting and summarizes the history.
