Archaeological Museum

Went here while in Košice, visiting from New Zealand. The lady at the counter was pretty friendly. Went we went inside the museum, there were projections on the wall which was the information about the place. My problem was that I didn’t know how long it would be there, so I either would read too slowly to try remember everything and the slide would skipped before I finished, or I would read too fast and finish but I wouldn’t actually retain the information. This could easily be solved with a loading bar on the projection that shows you how much time has passed until the next one. There’s quite a lot of options so if you’re the manager of the museum and you’re reading this, please do something about it. But the museum overall was fun and I liked going through the tunnels. And the interactive light up 3D map of Košice was also cool.

It's an interesting museum about the history of the city. The price is 4 euro, I think it's worth it. You can read the infos in Slovak, Hungarian and English. However, many showcase were empty, I don't know why.

Wonderful museum about the history of the city of košice! Does not take longer than an hour, but really interesting information and high level animations other museums can be jealous of. Also in Saturday the museum is open until 10pm!!

It was very interesting to walk through old passageways and read about Košice's history and development. Unfortunately, little remains of what was before, but if you like old buildings and fortifications you'll like this place. The information is presented in Slovak, Hungarian and English, the price is 4 euro for adults and the museum wasn't crowded even in a weekday.

I really like visiting underground places and have been to many different ones around the world. This one isn't that big and is basically only bits of the old walls, but what makes it interesting are the multi language video presentations on the walls and over the 3d mini map. I visited at around 12.30 on Wednesday 30 November 2022, it cost €4. There was no queue to enter and a few other people entered while I was there but it wasn't crowded. Unfortunately access to the toilets is not included in the entry fee and is an additional 50c.

If you like old fortifications and the histories of cities then this exhibition is for you. There were quite a few videos with text in English, Slovak and Hungarian as you walk one level beneath the current city exploring the old barbican. Nice and concise.

Tells you the history of Kosice easiest way possible. 4€ entrance was a bit too much since you will spend 10-20 minutes inside.

Really interesting museum with cool set up. Worth the 4€ entry fee.
