Archaeological Museum of the Paphos District

If you visit Cyprus Papos, this is the place that you NEED TO visit. I didn't expect this interesting. There are lots of things which drew my eyes besides, in that old days, the things that people made for living, decorating themselves, or looking better were so fun. Plus, You can enjoy all of these for free and workers here are so nice, kind, and welcoming! No reason not to go, enjoy! - a Korean🇰🇷 lady who came here this morning, Thu 15th Jan. 2026' -

Among over 20 days away from Korea🇰🇷, this place remains one of my strongest memories— welcoming staff and a must-visit in Paphos, Cyprus.💝 A place like a present🎁❣️

Small, free, only ground floor. Mainly typical Mediterranean pots and heads. Good descriptive texts. Reasonably priced but limited souvenirs.

Very nice and small museum. The entrance is free tho and you get all the information you need very compact and well structured. You could probably spend around an hour here. Very lovely.

A great FREE museum. Lots of interesting things to see. It is truly amazing that things that are thousands of years old ( upto 7000 BCE ) still survive. The craftsmanship and hard work of our predecessors is quite remarkable. Pre Hellenistic up to Roman times . Pottery , gold rings , coins and so much more . As I said is free , though they give you a ticket . In midweek out of season it is very quiet . It is about a half hour north from Leonidas bar restaurant.. which is a good place to stop too for a little libation.

A small but very interesting museum. Pleasant staff. Plenty to see and varied artefacts. Clay, metal, shell, glass, stone. You can pickup a lightweight folding seat to take with you as there is no seating inside. Information is in Greek and English. Small shop with replicas and books. FREE!

Entrance is free, Like it should be at every museum, well done Paphos And Cyprus for offering a cost free visit for everyone interested in learning about history And archaeology And interested in culture. The museum has only one floor but every exponate is conserved And labeled properly, there are no missing labels, very clean museum, no dust, no noise, you can enjoy And admire at no Rush the large rooms with exponates one more interesting then the other, different tools And the evolution of humanity, also it îs the first free of Charge archeological museum that I have been to in six countries so far, well done for this.

Great little museum. Free admission for pensioners.
