Archaeological Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia

Quite a good museum, I really enjoyed my visit. It had just reopened after being closed during the summer months for renovations. All of the spaces are in darkness and the artifacts and treasures are the only things in the light. Its a unique way to display the items and feels like one is walking through a cave. There are two floors completely full of items, everything from ancient bones to weapons from the most resent turmoil. I could not follow the displays chronologically which was really confusing. After trying for a while I gave up and just walked through as it was laid out. Not logically at all. Cost is reasonable to enter, prices had just been increased when I was there.

One of the oldest museums in the country and probably one of the most beautiful in the world! The outside looks awesome and it’s made in an ancient style cause of the 2014 project! It is in front of the Eye Bridge and it is impossible to miss since it is right before the Old Bazaar!

This was a very good overview of the Macedonia region's history as shown by the artifacts discovered. If one took the time to read the information it was incredibly informative. Most rushed through looking at the objects but there is a set timeline to follow from the Paleolific period to more modern times. The building is beautiful outside and the entranceway is incredible.

The facade of this museum is one of the most grandiose sights in the city. Built in 2014, the building has an ancient-style architecture, with massive columns and an appearance that truly impresses. It is located on the riverbank, and the Bridge of Civilizations leads directly to its entrance. Even without going inside, the external architecture is imposing and makes for spectacular photos, especially at night when it is fully illuminated and reflects on the water.

Amazing museum with a rich collection of artifacts! Well-organized exhibits, beautiful building, and a perfect location in the heart of Skopje. A must-visit for history lovers and tourists. Highly recommended!

I want give 5 stars if I think about collections does this museum present ....is absolutely brilliant 💎 and staff in ticket office is friendly and helpful with any problem / But why you have two different prices for tickets to entrance ( 200 mkd for Macedonians and 400mkd for tourists ) .... how is possible take benefits from EU for rebuilds historical sites in Macedonia ( this money is from taxes people who living in EU ) ....but after from this people want more money for ticket / I see this practice in countries out of Europe

A must visit for its historical significance. Sections are put well together. Golden mask of course. After the visit in the museum you are ready to visit all the archeological sites scattered around the country.

Nice, entry it's 400 dinar. Pretty much expensive for this small museum. Eventing it's clean and nice and well readable. Also Accessible The price in the website absolutely not updated. It seems to have been recently renovated.
