I didn't know what to expect given the mixed reviews, but I'm very happy to have visited and I do think it's worth it.
Whilst true that there isn't a whole lot to see, it's still pretty impressive and to appreciate the temples and other details such as footbridge and horns of consecration of Minoan Crete. Personally I enjoyed sitting in the shade on the benches and reading the information panels, there are quite a few.
To enter, look out for the little white building with blue doors (and air con blasting!). Entrance costs €2.50 and the man is friendly enough, not super chatty.
