Archangel Michael Russian Church

Hidden gem , A stunningly beautiful church , we sat there in peace, completely lost in its charm. The hand-painted ceilings, vibrant colors, and the magnificent altar were breathtaking. Couldn’t get enough of it, and left with a deep sense of positivity in the soul.

The place was amazing, we vizit it in Sunday morning and the atmosphere was great I strongly recommend it.

...i went in with hope to escape from the noise of the city to contemplate yet as soon as i entered from the main yard some old russian karen came and asked if i was a pakistani gazing with the corner of her eye, to which i replied no with some disdain and sort of ran away from the person into the church. yet, i could not help question my answer afterwards what if i was a pakistani, would that be a terrible thing?why would anyone ask you the first thing without knowing who you were but your ethnicity. some russian racism?or else...

It is a beautiful church, like a gem hidden among tall apartment buildings. This is a XIX century Russian orthodox church. It might look small from outside, but it it has a spacious courtyard and actually two churches: upper and lower. The upper church of Archangel Michael (second storey) is really beautiful inside, especially during the service, when all the lights are lit up. Though it is quite dark inside when there is no service: it's an old building with relatively small windows. It is an old Navi church, so it resembles internal space of a ship, I guess. Orthodox services are held daily: Divine Liturgy in the morning at around 8:30 am (or 9:00 on Sundays), and vigil services at around 5 pm. There is a church store in the courtyard, there you can buy candles, small icons and other church staff. There are also taps with holy water available in the courtyard.

I have visited the Archangel Michael Church a couple of times, and the worship ceremony is miraculously healthful and enlightening.. I am so thankful to the members of the church, the priests and the staff members for kindly welcoming all the visitors ✨✨

Can't get enough of the whole Baku experience. Amazing view of the city and a church of Michael Archangel. It's Palm Sunday here now.

I visited there with my aunt last summer so as to pray for ourselves. It was the first time I went to the church and I may say that I felt so comfy and relax.
