A must-see while in Szczecin is the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. James the Apostle. Not only is it a beautiful piece of history and architecture, but it also holds a special place in my heart. My grandmother helped fund its original restoration.
One of the highlights is the opportunity to take an elevator up the tower for a panoramic view of the city. At 18 zł, it’s a bit pricey for a 5–10 minute experience, but the view of Szczecin from above is absolutely worth it. Just a heads-up, it can get quite warm at the top, so plan accordingly.
Overall, it is a meaningful and memorable stop in the heart of the city.
