A museum worth visiting. It's informative about the history of Liege and its churches. You can also find many ancient archaeological remains. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it.

Lovely museum and definitely worth visiting, though a little under-interpreted. The history of the city is obviously fascinating, but would benefit from more context or at least signposting to another museum where you can find broader context (e.g. Why did Charles the Bold burn the place down? Why was the cathedral destroyed to begin with? These things are alluded to presumably assuming background knowledge but never actually explained.) You often find yourself looking at undated finds or remains and wondering what exactly you are looking at (part of the Roman villa? the gothic cathedral? something else?) Some additional signposting would be great for those of us who aren't experts. I suggest getting the tablet because the booklet doesn't actually include all the content. I found the part acknowledging the challenges getting local politics to see the value of the site refreshing. Clearly sense prevailed in the end.

Excellent value for money and very helpful staff. Super interesting exhibition and wonderful digital realisations of what Liège has looked like in various centuries. Highly recommend.

Google
Excellent staff, you get a free iPad with ticket that has videos and audio as you go round. Very few exhibits - its various layers of stonework.

Yelp
This museum is easy to miss, because the entrance is not easy to see and the museum is under the plaza, but be sure that you allow time to visit this site, especially if you are interested in Roman, medieval, or church history. You will see archeological artifacts from several eras of time and learn about archeological techniques and treasures from the Liège region. A ticket purchased at the cathedral will admit you to both
