"Dine in True Wine-Country Style Architect and founder Howard Backen designed the space occupied by St. Helena’s Archetype (he’s also the owner), so it’s no wonder the bright and airy dining room is a sight to behold. Everything in the restaurant revolves around the wood-burning oven, which sees most dishes for at least a few moments before they’re delivered. Cuisine here can be described as American, with favorites such as avocado toast, grilled lamb chops, and mussels. Brunch is a big favorite, too; the lemon-ricotta pancakes are light and fluffy without being overly tangy. Perhaps the most popular part of the Archetype lineup happens on Thursday nights, when the kitchen servesfish tacos. The restaurant also offers workshops andclasses throughout the year."

Great food, great concepts, solid execution. The cozy dining room and its open kitchen are complimented by a menu worthy of a perfect score, but the understaffed service held it back. The menu does change, so if you're there at the same time as the short ribs, go for it. Otherwise, the burger never disappoints.

Our party really enjoyed all the dishes. Beautiful dining room and excellent service make this a wonderful place to dine for brunch or dinner. Our favorites include the Chia Seed Pudding, Cauliflower Steak, Buddha Rice Bowl, and of course the Classic Two Eggs. Highly recommend making reservations.

Arrived at 9:30am on a Sunday to a nearly empty breakfast rush, so we got seated in the patio right away. The lemon ricotta pancakes were excellent! The portion is very, very filling, soup would recommend going for the half stack and ordering something in addition. Also enjoyed trying the cashew milk latte. I have my eye on the chicken and waffle and the crispy chicken sandwich for the next time we have brunch at Archetype! Great service, great food! Tip: arrive before 11am to beat the brunch rush. I’ve heard you can expect a long wait after 11. Also, dogs are allowed in the front patio.

We had brunch here and everything was delicious. I loved their avocado toast and the eggs taco. Good to come with a big party and share a bunch of dishes. I guess that goes to always all dining experiences. The place wasn't too busy when we came on Friday. May be good to make reservation if you come during the weekend.

Beautiful setting, comfortable couches, and delicious food. Highly recommend the vegan ice cream sundae (see picture) garnished with flowers. The fish was a bit dry and the beet hummus appetizer is disappointing but overall a positive experience

Found an elegant and we'll decorated restaurant in Napa, and felt lucky to be here for brunch. Food was excellent, especially fish tacos. It is best to have reservation in advance.

Great fresh, farm to table style meals. Grapefruit mimosa is a must. Goat cheese and strawberry toast with fresh thyme...WOW. Lemon ricotta pancakes...must have. All around positive dining experience.
