Archipelagos Hotel

"Less than a quarter mile from the golden-sand Kalo Livadi beach, one of the longest on Mykonos, the Archipelagos Hotel is about as idyllic a retreat as you’ll find, despite sitting on one of Greece’s more popular spits of land. Take in a Cycladean sunset from your post on the pool deck, or, if you prefer, from the comfort of your room—many of the set-ups offer views of the region’s azure waters. Come breakfast, stake out the buffet, a princely spread of fresh pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, and dried fruit to sustain you for the day ahead—whether that means a hike up the isle’s rocky crags, or one parsing past issues of The New Yorker by the pool."

Five nights here. We had trouble with slightly noisy aircon and immediately upgraded to suite. “We just want you to be happy”. What an attitude. The suite was spacious and had magnificent unobstructed views out to the bay, large private balcony. Breakfast buffet extensive, varied, all you could hope for and a delicious start to the day. Service especially caring and friendly, big shout out to the very lovely and charming Christine and Andreas! They too spoilt us well beyond the call of duty. The hotel is on the other (undeveloped) side of Mykonos, so if you want to venture to Mykonos town you’ll need a car. The trip there is twenty minutes, traffic very congested, and once you’ve spent a few hours jostling with the hordes being spewed out by the tens of thousands from the ocean liners that now fill and obscure the view of Mykonos Bay, you’ll hurry back to the paradise of Kalo Livadi and enjoy the rest of your holiday in the warm embrace of the Archipelagos and their wonderful staff. The pool is large and deep, there is a small gym, and the short walk to Kalo Livadi beach will give you a tranquil, barely populated long stretch of clean white sand and possibly the cleanest seawater you’ll find anywhere in the world today. Truly wonderful rejuvenating holiday. Don’t think twice.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel has that beautiful classic Cycladic architecture we love, all whitewashed walls, natural tones, and a really calm, relaxing atmosphere. It feels both modern and elegant, with a fresh, stylish design that instantly puts you in vacation mode.||||Our room was spacious, bright, and spotless, with a breathtaking sea view that we enjoyed every morning and evening. The attention to cleanliness and detail really stood out , everything felt new and perfectly maintained.||||The food was fantastic. We had breakfast and dinner and everything was fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. Breakfast had plenty of options and everything tasted homemade and authentic. We loved the chocolate cake at breakfast!||||The staff were exceptional, always polite, smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and their warm hospitality made our stay even better.||||The location is also ideal. Kalo Livadi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is just a short walk away. It’s the perfect spot for swimming and relaxing. ||||Everything was perfect, we will definitely come back!

What an amazing place! Archipelagos Hotel is a true gem in Mykonos. The hotel is beautifully designed, elegant, and perfectly maintained. The service is exceptional – the team is friendly, caring, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They made us feel like part of their family and shared wonderful tips about the island. The view is incredible, the atmosphere is calm and luxurious, and everything is done to perfection. We will definitely be coming back!

The hotel is lovely, comfortable and in a fantastic setting. The staff work hard to make you comfortable and have a good experience. The beaches nearby are lovely and the water was the perfect temperature. The water is so clear that you can see through to the bottom with ease. The main detractor for the stay is the hotel transfer rates are prohibitive to going into and out of Mykonos Town very often. The island bus is great resource, but information was not readily available about the routes. It would be nice to be provided the bus routes and stops as well as the schedule. Overall, I recommend the hotel highly.

We stayed at the Hotel Archipelagos for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The views are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, each with a lovely outside balcony, and the staff are wonderful. We spent most of our time lounging around the pool. There are always enough loungers. It's so calm and peaceful. ||We ate in the restaurant one night - delicious! Beautifully cooked meals with local ingredients. Not cheap, but it's Mykonos. Breakfasts were delightful, with incredible local honey and yoghurt, eggs, fruits, bacon, fluffy pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice. Andreas remembered my coffee order from day one. ||If you want to explore, you would need a car. We got the bus to Mykonos Town one evening - which was brilliant. The bus stop is a five-minute walk away up a hill. We returned in a taxi. There are a couple of beaches walking distance away, including Kalo Livadi. ||I was with my husband and two sons, aged 18 and 21, and we all loved staying here. It was a real treat.

I would like to commend the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, especially Jordan and the breakfast team. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mykonos. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We booked a „premium double room with sea view“ for 8 days and received a small and relatively dark room close to the main building. The noise of the air conditioning on top of the main building – running day and night - was disturbing. Cleanliness of the room was not very good and the beds were bad. Fortunately we could change the room on the next day to a better room further away from the main building (no free upgrade to the next room type upon availability). The noise was a little bit reduced, but the constuctions in the neighbourhood were loud, and even ongoing on Saturday and Sunday (not the responsibility of the hotel).||The „Fine Dining“ option was meanwhile cancelled and the „A La Carte Restaurant“ did not fulfil good standards. Only the breakfast was very good. For example we had a burger for 29€ consisting of a standard bun, a standard patty, a slice of cheese and some mayonaise, and we ordered a ham and chese sandwich for 9€ consisting oft wo slices of toast, one slice of ham and cheese slices each. Both dishes were not tasty. On Saturday there was only margarine, but no butter available for breakfast, but on Sunday they decided to buy normal butter and cut it into pieces. The complete restaurant is open and when it is cold and windy, there is no alternative option to sit. Coffee was always nearly cold as it had to be brought from the pool bar. And some of the service personnel did also not meet expactations. During dinner time one waiter was standing with his mobile phone, viewing soccer games and not helping his colleague. Also frequent touching the shoulder of a guest (like a friend) and complaining about working conditions are not appropriate. The bar was rarely visited. A common cocktail (e.g. Pinacolada) of medium quality costs 18€.||Room cleaning had significant deficiencies. As we do not require room cleaning every day, but only every second day, we activated the red blinking „Do Not Disturb“ light on our second day. When we came back from our tour, our door was open and cleaning was ongoing. So wem ade a complaint at reception. The next day we asked for room cleaning, but nothing happened. All following days our room was not cleaned. Therefore we had to order clean towels, soap and toilet paper at he reception. When the new towels were provided, the dirty towels were not removed. On the second day the bushes in front of the terrace were cut, but the leaves remained on the terrace until we left.||The complimentary shuttle service to Mykonos Town (which was mentioned in a May 2024 review) is nor any more available. A one way tour costs now 42€.||We do not recommend this hotel and rate it as 3 or maximum 4!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Mykonos. The traditional Greek architecture gives it such a beautiful and authentic charm, and everything is so well kept. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, both at the reception and in the restaurant, which really made the experience even better. The pool area is stunning, perfect for relaxing, and the restaurant offers a great variety of delicious Greek dishes along with other options. My room was spacious, very comfortable, and spotless throughout my stay. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations—I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mykonos!
