We stay with our family for three nights. The resort is very family friendly with three cute dogs and two cats entertaining the kids. The bungalows are clean and spacious (ours has two floors). The resort has also horses and a small chicken farm. The breakfast is fresh and the staff is very friendly. The manager is very helpful and nice to the kids and let them enjoy the experience with the animals in the resort premises. You can also get very helpful tips for activities. I highly recommend this place.

Can’t beat the excellent location in the heart of Santa Elena, within walking distance of several restaurants (but be in decent shape, it’s on a hill). The beautiful landscaping and nearby wildlife, including monkeys we spotted from our room one morning, add to its charm. The staff are warm and welcoming, the complimentary breakfast is satisfactory. However, we were disappointed with our room. The shower seems to use a tankless water heater so you get scalding hot or very cold temperatures. We seemed to be downwind of a septic system because we would smell sewage, especially in the evenings. And since there is no air conditioning, you suffer more if you close the windows. Additionally, the central location means you hear noise from cars and street traffic at night, so earplugs are a must. Lastly, there were so many bugs (including moths, centipedes, spiders, and beetles) that crept in daily. Proper weatherstripping or sealant around doors, windows, and screens could make a big difference.

This lodge is centrally located allowing you easy access to the town facilities. We booked the budget triple cabin, which was basic and small, but comfortable. The drive into the lodge was steep and our specific cabin had steps down to it, so not suitable for everyone. Breakfast was included, which was a great start to the day. A small selection of continental cheese and meats, fruit and pastries were offered, plus a cooked egg of your choice. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Wi-Fi worked throughout the property. We wanted to use the lodge as a base while we explored Monteverde and we would recommend it to others for that purpose.

This is a really nice property in the Heart of Santa Elena, close to everything by foot, yet it's down a driveway that removes it from the fairly loud hustle and bustle of th etown, and vehicle noise. It's a nice oasis to come home to after touring the hearby sites. We stayed in #8, which was a small one room cabin with bathroom. There wasn't much room to spread out, but totally sufficient. it had a deck facing into a grove of trees and jungle and we were visited by a cute white-faced monkey on our deck a couple times. the breakfast included was over the top with selection of fruits, cereals and hot items. The staff, especially Bernal, were very helpful and scheduled two tours for us, as well as transportation to our next destination.

This is a lovely hotel. Great bountiful breakfast included. Comfortable rooms. Main lodge had a great library. 2 dogs and 2 cats on the premises to greet you. Easy walk to dozens of restaurants. Easy walk to lots of activities. Monkeys nearby. Friendly staff. Very comfortable lodging. Our cabin you could hear some street noise but it settled down at night. I would stay here again.

Despite being in the center of town, this lodge offers a private oasis and out of the ordinary accommodations. It features separate cabins for all travelers. Ours was just right. It had two bedrooms, a tv viewing area and porch with rockers. The ceilings are vaulted giving it a very spacious feel. Rustic in a good way.

Lovely little hotel which despite being in the middle of Santa Elena, felt like it was in the middle of the countryside. We had a cabin at the back and it was so peaceful......except for the occasional monkey going nuts outside the window!! ||Good breakfast with freshly cooked eggs and a very comfortable bed.

Comfortable room, very clean and comfortable bed. Quiet at night so a good night sleep. Excellent breakfast buffet. Attentive Staff who allowed us to have an early breakfast as we were booked on a trip in the forest. Lovely walk in the grounds to a viewpoint over the town and we were lucky to see some capuchin monkeys playing in the trees up there. Easy walk into the town for bars and restaurants and shops.
