ARCOTEL Onyx Hamburg

Excellent in all aspects except for the horrendous music they play all day long in the lobby. It is incredibly bad...like the proverbial "elevator music" but piped into the lobby. Other than that the staff were lovely, really friendly and efficient. Breakfast excellent too. I really like this hotel...my wife thought so too.

The room itself is fine, clean, quiet and spacious. While the front desk staff could be much more nicer, indifferent.

Found there’s no room for me when arrived, though the person at the reception was very helpful, and sent me on a taxi paid by the hotel to another hotel to spend the night. In the morning I was asked if I want to stay, or go back to my originally booked hotel, and I went back, as it was close to my appointments. When o arrived, there was still no room for me, and I was left to wait in the lobby. After about an hour I decided it’s time to contact the manager via phone, and in 15 minutes I got a room, though it was smelly. Left for my business and kindly asked the smell to be fixed, or to move me to a different room. Happily on my return the smell was not that prominent, and I managed to sleep well the last night. Quite a bad experience unfortunately, and the situation was quite badly managed.

Right on Reeperbahn Hamburg. Nice walk in the rain on a quiet evening with a beer from one of the small kiosks. Bed & view was great.

One of the best hotels I stayed in Hamburg. Space rooms, clean, great location, quiet place to rest and my dog was in heaven. Breakfast was good and it is opened long every day. Check out later than many other places. Bar has good atmosphere and very helpful stuff. I think about going there this summer and I will definitely check the prices in other to stay there again.

Not so helpful staff. I visited the hotel during Reeperbahn Festival so I guess it was a bit stressful conditions. But anyway - not welcoming, quite inattentive and a bit bored. Rooms - very average.

We had a twin room with view to Elbphilharmonie - highly appreciated our stay, all fantastic. Thanks again!

Stayed here in may 2025, the hotel is located on the reeperbahn and a short walk away from the clubs and pubs and cafes, room was clean and bed was comfortable...could do with some vending machines as there was nowhere to get a water or snack after bar hours

Awesome location on the East end of the Reeperbahn entertainment district. Nice rooms with good sound separation. Efficient friendly staff. Good substantial breakfast.

This hotel is classified as "4 star superior". Let's compare it to my experience: - The room was spacious with a large mini-bar - 3 elevators with card access - Large bar in the basement - Complementary Wi-Fi - Check-In: 3pm / Check-Out: 12pm Bullet points to mention, but I wasn't able to judge: - Parking Garage - Spa/Computer-Station - Breakfast (from 6.30am to 12.30pm, next door, EUR 17.90) It was very positive that I was able to access my room prior to official check-in time. Not all off the staff seems to be experienced and educated in their business area (front desk, bar). They use pictures of the famous building next door ("The Dancing Towers" in their advertisement even though that's not their property (apart from breakfast offering) - even though their own building looks very fancy! Very close to the amusement area "Kiez" and in close walking distance to the port ("Landing Bridges"). The location is perfect
