Fantastic ( no really, this place was excellent) little bnb in Wiseman Alaska. I stayed in the smallest cabin which is good for two or three folks, there are 2 more cabins that accommodate larger groups. Though they are completely off grid, you get all the essential facilities, hot water/shower, kitchenette, cook top, small fridge, and internet. I was visited in July but it appears they had modern heating system as well. Probably the best pancake and egg breakfast you'll ever have. Wonderful hosts who happily share their perspective on frontier life in this little part of Alaska. Highly recommend.

This is a great option instead of Coldfoot Camp! The rooms are nice. We were 2 couple in a cabin. It was warm and inviting.

I recently had the pleasure of staying here and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warmth of the hosts, who made me feel right at home. Their hospitality truly set the tone for my stay. The cabin itself is a cozy haven, beautifully designed with rustic charm and all the comforts you could ask for. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the stunning Alaskan landscape. The ambiance is inviting, with lovely touches that reflect the local culture. One of the highlights was the breakfast. The hosts whip up some amazing sourdough pancake, I wish I had asked for the recipe. I also wish I could have rates more but I was so full I couldn’t dream of it. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this cabin is a must-visit. The combination of great hosts, a cozy atmosphere, and fantastic breakfast makes it a true hidden gem. I can’t wait to come back!

We had an outstanding time with Uta and Bernard at their five star cabin in the wilderness. ||The log cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Built by Bernard with full amenities of A five-star hotel in a location off-grid.||The cabin has full electric and running water, nice bathroom with hot shower and and three comfortable beds. Very very nice. ||Breakfast the next day with sourdough pancakes and eggs was also second to none ||It was a Great experience meeting these fine people who are living off the grid and have done so for over 32 plus years.||The mountains are gorgeous and teeming with wildlife. It's a photographer's dream.|We cannot recommend them more.|

Delicious sourdough pancakes! Well equiped self-contained individual cabins with very comfortable beds and linnens.

Whether you are passing through to Prudhoe Bay or want to discover the wonderful landscapes around Wiseman, I strongly recommend you to stop at Berni and Uta's. They will welcome you with kindness and allow you to recover your strength, before facing the Dalton highway, in one of their comfortable cabins. If the weather is clear at night ... don't hesitate to look up at the sky... the northern lights are beautiful.

I flew in with my friends from CA and then drove up from Fairbanks. The drive was beautiful, and the cabin and location were better than I could have even imagined. We got to watch our first sighting of the auroras from the clearing of the riverbanks, in a valley surrounded by mountains, a very short walk from our toasty warm cabin. I couldn't have asked for more. Uta and Bernie are amazing hosts, fascinating individuals, and lovingly served us daily sourdough pancakes from a 30+ year old starter. We went next to the Chena hotsprings, and honestly if I had it to do again, I'd spend all of my days in Alaska here in this secluded haven of beauty. 100% worth the drive. We came in early March in the depth of winter and it was an easy, well maintained road the whole way.

We were so grateful for our whole experience with Uta and Berni. From the moment we arrived, the Aurora cabin felt like home with fantastic facilities that made staying so far from civilization very easy and enjoyable. They have truly thought of everything. Breakfast is a great time to visit and learn about the area. With such a tiny community, they are able to help with every need you could have. What a joy to visit, I will be dreaming of returning someday.
