Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos

My family of four loved our stay at the Arctic Snowhotel. We loved our glass igloo. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very nice albeit somewhat lacking in intimacy (noise). The staff is very kind and friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the electric snowmobile safari. The ice hotel is beautiful and definitely worthwhile visiting. It's completely rebuilt every year! My only critique is the fact that he were told to go to the pickup point which is hard to find. Fortunately, our taxi driver knew where to take us. There's a tiny plaque that you have to look for... Imagine my surprise and disappointment when the hotel driver told us we could've picked us up at the train station. We would've saved 15E and avoided standing out in the cold.

Amazing experience. Loved this place way more than SantaClaus village. Santa Claus Village was gimicky and everything cost extra and was so hectic. Whereas Arctic SnowHotel was expensive but everything is included e.g. breakfast, public sauna. The tobogann hill with the inflatable tubes was the highlight and completely free and included with stay. We saw the northern lights. Luggage drop off early was free and easy. Will definitely be back and recommend to other Aussies. Was more for adults but there were kids present and having a blast. If I had to find a con/ negative it would be that the Kota restaurant was very average--- food wasn't bad--- but not special and service was slow. Plus the toilet paper in whole place was 1 ply. Which is odd given everything else was a top tier experience. Regardless 100 recommend over anywhere I stayed.

We visited the Snow Hotel for a tour and dinner in the Ice Restaurant. It was a once in a lifetime experience! The guide was super nice and it was very interesting to hear how the hotel is built every year. We could look at all the rooms and roam around, taking it all in. The guide also showed us how the snow sauna works, which was really interesting. The artwork is so beautiful and we had the best time exploring everything. We also had a drink in the ice bar out of little ice glasses. The dinner in the ice restaurant was absolutely delicious and an experience on it’s own. The staff was so nice and helpful, we really enjoyed our whole trip there.

Incredible anniversary stay with top-tier service. I brought my girlfriend here as a surprise for our 1st Anniversary and Valentine’s Day. Working in Front Office at The Gibson in Dublin, I really appreciated the extra effort the team made to make the stay special. The coordination started weeks before we arrived, with Ina, Pinja, and Laura from the sales team being incredibly helpful and responsive with my initial requests to pull off the surprise. The experience on the ground was just as impressive. Kitika at check-in was exceptionally friendly and gave us all the tips we needed to enjoy the resort. The glass igloo was warm and spotless, and we were welcomed with a personalized card and free chocolates. Sarai from housekeeping did a brilliant job setting up the motorized beds into a double setup as requested and even left a lovely note for us. Even at the coffee shop, the team went out of their way to make a custom mocha when they could’ve easily said no. The resort offers huge value with free activities like a sauna, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and kicksleds on the frozen lake. We also got free entry to Snowman World and a tour of the SnowHotel, which were both highlights. The aurora alarm meant we didn't miss the lights from our bed, which was a surreal experience. We also ate at the Log Restaurant for the €49 buffet, where Joe provided amazing service, wishing us a happy anniversary and taking great care of us. The food was excellent; the pork was easily the most tender I’ve ever had, and the breakfast variety the next morning was massive. The only negatives were that the sheets were quite rough and gave us some carpet burn, and the shower was a bit temperamental, switching between very hot and cold. However, the service completely made up for it, especially when Hannamarie kindly gave us a late checkout even though they were fully booked. While it is a pricey stay, the amount of free equipment and the level of personalized service from the staff make it worth every cent for a special occasion.

Our family took a trip here last month and it was amazing. It was cold (as expected) because it was the ice hotel and the glass igloo was so pretty. We stayed one night each with two (2) small children (ages 6 and 8). They handled the ice hotel pretty well but it's not for the weak that's for sure. The whole room is made of ice (even the beds) but warm sleeping bags were provided so once inside the bags, we were fine. The glass igloo were amazing and beautiful. The service even after our visit was great. I had lost my watch somewhere (still don't know where it is) but did not figure it out until I came back. It was an Apple Watch but I think maybe it fell out of my luggage at some point. Either way, the hotel staff was great at communicating with me and checking multiple times for my watch. The service was amazing and the idea is novel but fun. I highly recommend this company for either the ice hotel or glass igloo. Both nights we saw the lights.

Honestly, this place is insane in the best way. Sleeping in a room made of snow and ice felt unreal, but it was surprisingly warm and well organized. The staff were super helpful and made everything easy. It’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience. One night is enough, but you’ll never forget it. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Lapland.

Such a cool experience - definitely a must (to try once). We did the Chill&Dine experience with snow sauna. It is colddddddd so dress accordingly. We did get to see a little Aurora lights action, too! The dinner was yummy, the service at dinner was good, and the restaurant is gorgeous. They also provide a tour of the ice facilities which was very cool! The sauna experience was cool, too! You get to take advantage of the snow sauna, the regular sauna, and the outdoor Jacuzzi - all great and we enjoyed it. Hugo (who helped us with the sauna experience) was awesome! Afterwards, we went to the Sky Bar to have a drink while we waited for us transport - bartender was kind and helpful (and it was very warm in there - strongly recommend)!.

I went to the ice hotel mainly for the snow sauna package, and it was definitely a unique experience. The package included a session in the snow sauna, jacuzzi on the upper floor overlooking the forrest (while the northern lights made an appearance), and a Finnish sauna to finish the session. The staff at the sauna building was very attentive and very helpful. They helped with photos and drinks, and was very friendly throughout. I had also been dealing with the sales team about my booking earlier on, and they were very friendly and helpful as well!

The igloo itself is cute and had more space than we expected. The beds have the option to raise the head and the feet like hospitals beds. The bathroom was small but good enough. The hot water lasted well enough for 2 showers. There's an Aurora alarm that we kept on. Not sure if it works though since there were no northern lights during our time there. Breakfast was good. We ate at the Ice Hotel as part of the experience. It was fun as the dessert dish was made of ice. The food was just so so and I think the 3 course meal was 69 euros with pretty small portions. Our package also included a drink in a glass shot glass at the Ice Bar. Throwing the glass against the wall after drinking was fun. We also added the private Finnish spa to our package and this included a hot sauna - very hot, ice sauna- basically hot sauna with ice walls and benches, and an outdoor hot tub. The hot tub was only set to 37 degrees max so it wasn't nearly hot enough. The private option also included a shower room and free drink (grapefruit soda). The whole experience was good but not something I would do again. I wasn't expecting much in terms of service but I was surprised. The igloo roof is made of glass and they were all covered with snow during our 2 days there. The main reason for paying to stay here is to be able to look out the glass ceilings. There was no attempt to remove the snow off the glass during our 2 days there. There was quite a lot of snowfall while we were there but the snow plows didn't come out until nearly 11 am, which means we had to hike through the snow to get to breakfast and then again with our luggage to check out. There is a shuttle that picked us up from Santa Claus Village which is available for a fee or as part of a package like ours. The driver just opened the luggage compartment under the bus and went back to his seat. No attempts at all to assist. This was the same for when we arrived. There is no luggage delivery service available at the hotel, not even a paid option. Some of the igloos are far from reception so you have to drag your luggage through the snow in the dark. The first morning we were unable to open our door and had to text our friend in the igloo next door to go ask reception. They sent a maintenance person to break off the ice around our door. We found that if we kicked the door it would break the ice and open. There is no phone in the room and no one at reception after hours, only an emergency number to call. I can't imagine what would happen during emergencies. I am not usually particular about service and I also understand that Finland customer service is different (nonexistent) but considering how much it costs to stay here, I think they should do better in this area. At minimum, the igloo glass ceilings should be routinely swept off so we can see outside. It's motel service at the price of a 5 star hotel. I should mention that the customer service via email prior to arrival was great. Too bad this ends when you're handed your room card. I don't regret coming here for the experience but wouldn't do it again and would recommend staying one night only. Santa Claus Village nearby has better accommodations for cheaper, excellent service, and better food options.

We just spent the day at the Arctic Snow Hotel. We did the sauna package with sparkling wine. The day included a tour of the ice hotel. First of all, the hotel is amazing! We were able to tour 90% of the rooms. The art in the rooms and in the halls was spectacular! I was so impressed and happy I could see them in person. Would I come back to stay? No way! At a whopping -5°C and no toilets nearby there is no way I would take it on. However, the day/sauna experience I would do again and again. We were picked up from our hotel near Snowman World and whisked to the Snow Hotel. After our tour, we enjoyed a pre-paid ice drink in the ice bar. We the headed to the lobby to warm up with a warm berry drink and cookies. When our sauna time came up we met with a guide who gave us directions. We had a private changing room that had towels, robes, slippers and a private sauna. From there we trekked to the private ice sauna. It was cold when we went in, but got warmer and warmer as we poured water on to the coals. It was a cool experience. We were only allowed to stay for ten minutes, but that was the perfect amount of time. We the went upstairs to our private hot tub. Our Sauna guide brought us a prepaid bottle of bubbly to enjoy. We honestly got so cold in the hotel that the saunas and hot tubs were the perfect way to go. After our one and a half hour sauna/hot tub experience, we had an hour before the bus left. We took the time to cool off with sledding and playing on the ice. Our time here was amazing! If you are thinking about booking, just do it!

We went to our honeymoon here a year ago. It was a once in a lifetime kind of experience to be in Lapland and to sleep under the stars in a sophisticated glass igloo. It's pricey and sadly the two days we were there was too cloudy to see any northern lights but we would love to come back to give our luck another shot. Our stay was excellent. We did a few resort activities. Would recommend the dog sled ride for sure! Their in house breakfast is a good example of what a traditional Finnish meal is like complete with picked fish and things like that. A good variety of "American/English" stuff too so you won't be hungry even if you didn't like the fishy things.

It's true, its fab, mad and fun. Two hours of daylight today, 1 night is all you need in the ice bedroom. Leave your bags in the bunker, grab a sleeping bag and pillow and off you go. Be sure to book your ice restaurant dinner and private hot tub in advance. Sure it's all expensive but a once only thing. Walk on the frozen lake, ice fish and wait for the crew to wake you up for the aurora. Bring some cards or something to amuse you for the downtime. The ice bar is open for two hours fun - $10 euros a shot. Yes even with the proper clothing it still get's cold, do not show up without good boots, ski pants etc.
