My visit to the Arctic Watch in Northern Canada was an amazing adventure. Kayaking with Beluga whales. Seeing a Polar bear feast on a dead Beluga carcass. Hiking and biking on the very unique and fascinating terrain of Somerset Island. It was all good fun!! And, even though you are in the middle of nowhere, in the Northern Canadian tundra, the accommodations are unique and awesome, the food is delicious and the Weber family and staff (guides, cooks and everyone at the lodge) are competent , knowledgeable, kind, caring and wonderful folks to be around. Arctic Lodge was a very, very special experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for adventure in a very unique part of the world!

This place is hard to put into words and photos don't do it justice. I traveled to Arctic Watch Lodge the first week of August in 2022. As you might imagine, when you have 18 staff hosting 25 guests the service was second to none. The Arctic Watch culinary team provided ridiculously delicious and nutritious meals around the clock with the quantity that could feed a small army. The guides delivered unique experiences with local expertise for hiking, biking, ATV'ing, kayaking, and rafting. From a distance, the landscape looks vast and desolate, but once exploring on foot, bike, water, or air, the region's beauty reveals itself along with amazing wildlife like polar bears, muskox, beluga whales, narwhals, and more. Where from a distance you see mountains of rock and gravel you later see beautiful waterfalls and magnificent landforms once you are exploring deeper. This experience would not have been the same if it wasn't for the care and high standards set by the Weber family. "Thank You" to Richard, Josée, Tessum, and Nansen for sharing your slice of the Arctic paradise with us.

Myself, my wife and two couples went to the Arctic Watch Lodge in July of this year, and what an experience! We had the luxury of flying to the south of Somerset Island for arctic char fishing, and on almost every cast we were landing fish. On another day we went exploring the northwest passage on quads and side by side vehicles seeing polar bears and musk ox, up close. Who can forget the hundreds of Beluga whales and the Beluga juveniles in the bay right in front of the lodge. 24 hours of sunlight in the summer gives you lots of time to explore.||||This camp was excellent, with everyone getting their own tent, a central lodge and kitchen. The food was excellent, and the staff a 10/10. If you are looking for an active vacation, in one of the most unique places in the world, seeing things you can't see anywhere else - this place is the place to go||||If you like fishing, for sure ask about arctic char fishing

It’s hard to describe Arctic Watch, but I’ll start by saying it’s an exceptional place, an outpost that provides access to one of earth’s most rarified environments. To be comfortably housed, brilliantly fed and surrounded by guides eager to share their deep expertise of the local natural and cultural history is a dream come true. The landscape is stark, open, and awe inspiring, especially under the 24-hour sun. The camp is situated where a river meets the sea, a confluence that attracts wildlife and where wind and ice conspire to provide dramatic and ever-changing viewscapes. Staff are stellar: fun, capable and accommodating. Access to diverse habitats and experiences is customized and designed to meet individual interests and abilities. || ||It is a privilege to be welcomed by such accomplished and knowledgeable hosts - the inimitable Weber family - whose motivation is to share their excitement of this harsh, delicate, elemental land, and to preserve these habitats long into the future. Their enthusiasm is contagious. ||||There is nothing contrived about Arctic Watch. It’s a real working outpost high in the Arctic that provides a rare opportunity to explore where few people have been. Each time I visit I deepen my understanding of this sublime place, and each time I leave keen to return.

We had an amazing visit to Arctic Watch in August of 2022. A once in a lifetime experience with fabulous activities, incredible guides, and food that was simply outstanding, made all the more incredible by the location. Accommodations were great and I can recommend this without reservation. Just go, you will have an amazing experience.

I went on this trip not exactly sure what to expect and was shocked every day by how spectacular the adventures were. All of the guides were absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Each day there was a new activity to choose from which brought me to another view or gave me another experience that blew me away. The atmosphere is welcoming and reinvigorated my love for being in nature. I do not want to sound dramatic but this was the most amazing trip that I have ever been on and I can not wait to go back. The food was also spectacular.
