Ard Bia at Nimmos

This place absolutely lives up to the hype! The food is incredible—huge portions, well-made, and full of flavor. The menu is small but has plenty of great options. I stopped in for breakfast/brunch on a Thursday morning, and while it was busy with people coming and going, there was never a wait for a table. What really stood out was the staff—they were so warm, friendly, and full of energy, which made the whole experience even better. The cafe has a bit of a coastal feel, with lots of wood accents, and they were playing The Beatles and Wings, which was a nice touch. I ordered the vegan hash with poached eggs, and the portion was massive. It also came out really fast, which was a pleasant surprise. If you’re in Galway, definitely check this place out—you won’t regret it!

Had Evening meal, this restaurant blew me away, amazing from start to finish. The food was beyond good it was amazing. My partners steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. my monkfish was delicious. Dessert was delightful. Staff were so friendly and lovely. Highly recommend. Coming back for brunch tomorrow

My partner and I visited here for our Valentine's night out. The food was to die for, we're both vegetarian and the options available to us never disappoint. The service was amazing, everyone was super lovely and attentive. Will absolutely be going again! ❤️

Absolutely amazing!!! I’m from America, and this was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. I got the beef rib and my husband got the ribeye steak. Both were incredible, would recommend this place to anyone coming to town!

Sometimes, when traveling, you have to eat at the same place twice. Like a tiny village’s lone chippy. And sometimes, you eat at the same place twice because you want to. That’s Ard Bia. Following our first-night dinner in Galway, we left so impressed we resolved to come right back for brunch. Ard Bia is the neighborhood spot you wish your town had. Innovative enough you’ll impress your date with your excellent taste, but accessible enough you can bring your visiting out-of-town folks for a nice brunch. Reservations are clearly a must come dinnertime, but be ready to join the queue for brunch, since it’s first come, first served in the daytime hours. Don’t worry, the line moves fast and the service—while kind and attentive—is fast, too. We only waited 20 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning. And as the food came, it was clear those had been 20 minutes well spent.

We had a group of 9 and had a limited menu offering us three starters, entrees, and desserts. We had every single dish offered and were blown away by the food. The heirloom tomatoes were indescribably amazing. Nasturtium gnocchi was out of this world. The coffee cake was perfect as well as the other desserts we had. Wonderful intimate experience. The drinks were also delicious. Staff was attentive. There were at least 6 parties turned down while we were eating (on a Tuesday!) so make reservations! Hope I get to go back one day.

Delightful spot for yummy food in a cozy ambiance and with superb service. The menu features a good number of vegan and vegetarian options. I thought the miso mushroom broth and the baked cabbage were both very tasty. However, I did find the food a bit too greasy for my liking. The vegan chocolate cake was the star of the show. Absolutely fantastic! Our waitress, a very kind and funny French young woman really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make sure we had a lovely dinner experience. Would certainly recommend!

What an absolute privilege to have lunch here. The staff were all so welcoming and accommodating. The food - like a warm hug. Such a special spot in Galway city.
