Ard Na Sidhe is a small country house hotel in a secluded area on Loch Caragh about 30 minutes drive to Killarney. The setting is magical, quiet and relaxing; enhanced by the beautiful gardens that are well manicured. There is no spa or sport to distract you or disrupt the peaceful solitude of the place, which my wife and I appreciated. The restaurant is very good and the rooms are good size by European standards. We hope to be back some time!

Killarney is a large tourist town with many large hotels. This hotel is about 40 minutes away. It is quiet, beautiful and charming. The main house is a grand old mansion and the gardens are huge and outstanding and the grounds quite extensive. The service is excellent as is the food|A real gem on the Ring of Kerry

Everything about Ard na Sidhe was amazing! The house itself is just stunning, situated by a lake its so secluded and a really nice break away. Staff were so friendly and our room was really classic yet up to date as well! Room was spotless We had afternoon tea for my birthday and it was so nice! The scones were warm and the eclairs were cold just perfect! They did forget to add the Prosecco which we had to ask for but the garden area where you have it,is beautiful. We also had dinner which was nice I got the steak which was a little fatty but the dessert was lovely and they also gave me some free ice cream for my birthday which was a nice touch! We would love to return one day as its so relaxing.

This was a lovely stop after a day round the Ring of Kerry. The gardens are worth the stop alone. Our room was clean and modern, with relaxing porch overlooking the grounds. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the dining room provided our best dinner during our visit to Ireland.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. ||One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in without a doubt. Beautiful gardens and common areas to relax in. Lovely dinner and breakfast. Will definitely come back for a treat!

This hotel is on a stunning piece of property, and our room was lovely, albeit the bed was smaller than we had anticipated. (We were told that the Irish King size is not quite the same as the American ... fair enough, we were in Ireland!) However, they do not handle groups well and given our experience it would make me question staying there again. Full recap below, but long story short, if there isn't a group there you'll have a wonderful stay! --------- There was a large group of cyclist staying when I stayed at the hotel with my husband. There are two common rooms and they took up most of one room and at one point they had live music. Well, at least that's one plus to staying at a small property that a large group is overwhelming! I asked the person at the desk if that room was open, and was told the group had paid for the musicians and that I might find it "noisy." I then, as politely but clearly as I could asked if relaxing in that room (one of 2 common spaces) was not part of the amenities of our stay. It was in fact open to us so we went and listened to very wonderful trad music. Regardless of where we were in the common spaces you would hear the music and I reasoned that I might as well enjoy the experience as opposed to feeling excluded from it given the nightly rate. The next morning on check out (different person) I commented that we had a nice stay and mentioned that the music was great. I was again told that was for the cyclist. - Me, "Oh, I was told it was OK for me to listen go listen" (bc the alternative was to hear it through a closed door) - Her (approximately) "It is, but it's part of their experience" My thoughts .... Then rent out the *entire* hotel to that group! If they can't afford that, then they need the other paying guest there and have to accommodate both groups. This is not a large hotel with room service, etc we got that ... instead it was supposed to be a small inviting country B&B with shared common spaces and a convivial atmosphere. Again, lovely property but I would not stay there again unless I knew for certain there was not a large group staying at the same time because the management has not figured out how to make this work for all guests.

My wife's first trip to Ireland. I wanted to show her how special a country it is and how gracious the people are. Booking at Ard Na Sidhe was the perfect place to take her to a very special place far removed from a sizable city. A elegant and welcoming experience.
