Ardith Mae Farmstead Goat Cheese

Stopped here on our way to visit friends, and we're so glad we did! The farmstand is clean, charming, and very welcoming. There’s a great selection of goat cheeses—it was hard to choose! It's self-service with clear, easy-to-follow instructions for purchasing. We picked up a variety pack and some feta, and every cheese we tried was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

I have never tried goat cheese I liked until I tried it from this lovely shop. The owner was extremely polite and personable. She took the time to walk me through a variety of cheeses and helped me select some that my wife and I would come to love. We spent the whole day adding into different meals and even my daughter, who can be very picky, loved it! I will definitely be a returning customer.

Now I have not been to the physical farm but I have bought cheese from their stand at the 79th street green market and people this is quality product. I don't like lavender as a flavor. I think it works great as a smell, but has no place on my taste buds. Or rather I USED to think that before sampling and immediately purchasing Ardith Mae's Honey and Lavender Chevre. Oh my lord. A gamechanger if ever there was one. Everything's the perfect balance of tart creamy cheese, slightly sweet from the honey, floral tones from the lavender (floral tones. This is what happens when I watch too much top chef), it's all blended together in harmonious beauty (see previous note about top chef effect on vocabulary). I have to apologize to lavender- I underestimated you. I didn't know what wonders you were capable of. Thank you to these people for showing me the light- their hard work and talent is giving much to the world and deserves your business.

Love this new location with a farm store! And, as others have said: best goat cheeses around. I particularly like the one with the ash (Silhouette), and also the Bigelo, and also the Pyramid with Smoked Black Pepper. Well, heck, I like them all, because they're so super delicious!

Outstanding cheese from happy goats and cool people. I started with the delicious chèvre last year and this last weekend fell for the ridiculously delicious Mammuth, with Brie like texture and flavour base. Was recommended by the Union Sq. farm stand gal when I said I wanted to try something new to branch out. This is quite a food “find” with a perfect subtle tang and overall bold flavor. I’m addicted.

Some of the freshest, yummiest, most flavorful cheese I have EVER had. HUGE fan! Love the chevre, garlic scape chevre and feta! So excited to try the other cheeses, but can't stop buying the chevre - it is out of this world! YUM!!!!

Just bought their Honey Lavander Chèvre and fell in love with it! Fortunately, they are at Union Square Market in NYC on Saturday and I am going for sure to pay a visit from time to time😀
