Liked: Warden on site was very friendly and informative and let us have a pitch right at the Loch. Toilets and facilities were very good and clean. The Ardlui Hotel next door was very cosy and inviting, the guy who served us in the restaurant and bar was extremely nice and a credit to the place. First time there and was our first time anywhere in our new campervan but will definitely be back there. Disliked: Would’ve loved to have been able to have a fire but apart from that no dislikes at all.

Liked: Stayed a night in the upper motohome parking area. Stunning views over the Loch. Toilet and shower facilities are very good. The Ardlui Hotel was just a 2 minute walk from our pitch. Staff very welcoming and the bar was dog friendly with a nice log burner which was needed in November. Will definitely be back another time.

Beautiful location for 1 night in our camper van right on the edge of the loch. But unfortunately our meal in the hotel was terrible. We phoned ahead to check our 5 year old coeliac could have gf macaroni cheese to be told on the night that the chef didn’t have time, so she had mashed potato, cheese and beans which had burned bits through it from the microwave. They then tried to charge us for her having macaroni cheese, although when challenged gave us her meal for free. The rest of our meals were pretty bad - my Cullen skink with sourdough was sludge with cheap white bread and my son’s macaroni cheese was just pasta with melted cheese on top 😕 despite the food, serving staff were very friendly and tried to help

Liked: The view, the grounds, the shower rooms were so clean and warm! Staff were great especially the ground maintenance guy Was only 5 minute bus ride to drivers in where we had an excellent Saturday night with live music and lovely people Disliked: Food in hotel was ok but didn’t serve breakfast

Liked: Views Staff Disliked: Dog mess “everywhere” We are dog owners and walked the dog around the holiday park. We lost count of the amount of dog mess everywhere……..what’s wrong with people??? There are signs and buns and even free dog poo bags everywhere and yet the mess is unbelievable. Such a shame.

Been here a few times , love it , we stay in our moterhome,, tonight 15 th nov wee arrived and went to pub with our chihuahua tiny dog as in teacup size , like really wee , very friendly little dog ,||||Andy behind the bar said :guys keep dog on lead please ; to which we gladly adhered to no problem, sat had a drink then a big family came in with a big Labrador called Abigail myself and husband was very friendly to this big dog as it was roaming free in the pub , and was obviously allowed to roam in pub without lead , so abvs we were pissed off fact this dog was off lead and my dog had to keep lead on , really annoyed us , we spend a lot of money coming here and it should be all rules apply to all guests wether you r a local or not , sort the rules guys as it’s really unprofessional ( Andy )

Liked: Stunning waterfront pitch, amazing views. Shower & WC block is great. Hotel on site for drinks and dinner. Friendly staff Disliked: Perhaps a bit marooned if you wanted to go for a hike without having to go on the main road. There is the option of crossing the loch on the ferry and picking up the WHW. Tad expensive at £38 pn but location is gorgeous

Liked: Check in was really easy and our pitch was amazing. We were so close to the water, and was probably the best overnight we’ve had at Loch Lomond. The bar was a 2 minute walk too which was really nice. Great bar staff too.

Yelp
Ardlui Hotel was part of our West Highland Way Hike where we have to take the ferry to the other side. Our room was to the street side, therefore a little bit loud but in general nice. Dinner and Breakfast were fine.
