Arena Beach Hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arena. The hotel staff were very hospitable and the beaches and views were beautiful. The whole island could literally be explored in 30 minutes and also included a no bikini beach. The reason for the deduction of one star is that the housekeeping could be improved. On one occasion the bedding was wet upon returning probably due to a spill of some sort. We had been out most of the day and it was still wet when we returned so we could fairly deduce it wasn't us. However when contacting the staff they rectified this quickly by providing and fitting new sheets. The upkeep/cleaning of the floor could also be improved as there would be remnants of debris and dust that remained throughout the stay. The AC unit leaked causing a small puddle by the door. There were also minor 'niggles' in regards to not being given the two complementary water per day but this could be remedied by speaking to the housekeeping staff. Lastly there were a few occasions when we called reception to ask to look at something or give water but this would sometimes not be followed up. That aside the hotel amenities, rooms, facilities and location were great and I truly believe that the hotel is on its way to receiving 5 stars with a few small fixes. I look forward to returning to see this happen in the future!

We arrived on a very stormy day. Water leaked from the balcony into the floorboards, thus the floors were seeping water for 2 days after the storm. We were given towels to lay on the floor to soak up the excess moisture. Other than this, our experience here has been great.|||The view from the Balcony Room was amazing. Be careful with reading which type of room you’re booking. We booked a standard double room for our kids, because it was cheaper, but it has no windows. So make sure you splash out on the Balcony room. It’s an amazing view to wake up to every morning. It’s more spacious too. Plus, you’ll have a balcony to hang your wet swimsuits to dry!! So much harder in a room without a window, sadly. ||Showers are actually good. Hairdryer in each room. ||Breakfast was buffet style and included in the price. Plenty of food and we loved the omelette station. Variety of food changes slightly each day. Good options for vegetarians.||Plenty of food options within the hotel and nearby. ||Excursions - we booked with the hotel. They were amazing and staff were ensuring they took|photos of us whilst snorkelling, so we could just enjoy the moment. They were also helpful when we felt frightened or had trouble with our flippers. The provided equipment such as snorkelling mask and snorkel were new and clean. So were the life jackets. Boats were clean and well maintained. ||For the price, I felt that Arena Beach Hotel provided good value for money and its location is great - it’s on the tip of Maafushi, and on the touristy part of the island. Loads of shops nearby to browse and there’s a number of convenience stores within easy walking distance too. ||Hotel staff were very friendly and are helpful. ||I would highly recommend. Just make sure you book the balcony room.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. We stayed in room 3806 and encountered several issues that significantly affected our stay. First, the bed was old and uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest properly. The lighting was faulty and kept flickering every three minutes with no way to turn it off. There were also frequent water shortages – more often than not, there was no water at all, which was incredibly frustrating, especially after returning from the beach when you need a shower the most. The air conditioning was leaking, and the room had an unpleasant smell. As for the food, most dishes were heavily seasoned, although there were occasional options that were less spicy. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Had the best holiday in Maafushi and it is largely due to the hotel staff who were all amazing, especially Ruvi and Riad. All happy to help and kind, the service is what makes this hotel a great place to stay and I hope the employees are appreciated by the management because they are all amazing. The breakfast and dinner has a wide selection and the food is great. The New Year’s eve dinner was a wonderful experience, the band was great, the decor fun and the food tasty.

The Arena honeymoon really gives us a feel which no one could ever give, and the hospitality is top notch woah!! Shakir really helps to take our candlelight dinner to heavenly!! All time special. ||We never tought a candlelight dinner could change our entire mood of love, thanks to shakir who sets up the candle lights and captures many good moments of love.

Where do I start? Ofcourse the position of the hotel and the hotel itself are amazing. Food is amazing. But most of all, the people. I cannot stress enough how great people who work in Arena hotel are amazing. Always with a smile on their face, whatever you need they will do it for you. Definately coming back again! Literally the most amazing experience in my life! Rooms extremely clean, room service great, beds extremely comfortable and the view… breathtaking. |Definately would recommend!

It was an amazing stay, the staff was helpful and friendly, I’d like to thank everyone who works there, they prepared a room for our birthday event and gave us a cake. The hotel has 4 buildings, 2 swimming pool, breakfasts are good, sweets and fruits are the same every day, but other dishes change. The room was cleaned every day, and changed towels twice a day.
