"When in Guadalajara , be sure to visit the Arena Coliseo for Mexico ’s own version of freestyle wrestling: lucha libre. Similar to WWE but even wilder, the sport provides hours of entertainment. Wrestlers wear dramatic outfits and masks, while rowdy fans jump out of their chairs to heckle the luchadores —and each other. Fights take place on Tuesdays and Sundays and tickets, which can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the arena, cost around 60–150 pesos. If you’d rather someone else handle the details, go through Estacion Central (also known as Red Pub), which offers a drink-ticket-bus package for 175 persos per person."

Highly recommend on a Tuesday night if you are in Guadalajara. Had a great time. Wish they could fix the sound a little more so we could hear the host talk. Mini party after the fight in the lobby. Vendors and food outside after the fight with good vibes. Area is sketchy but didn’t see any danger. They charge for parking, uber would be best.

Place is cozy, good viewing angles. Fun place to spend a couple of hours. You can get close to the wrestlers and the ring to get pictures.

Be ready for an evening full of entertainment for the whole family! We are glad that we took an Uber because the parking situation is crazy. Remember to stay aware and be on the lookout for suspicious activity.

Wife booked tickets online, and well worth the money. First time seeing lucha libre live. Everyone was super friendly and got some pics with the wrestlers. I'll definitely come back to see another show.

Fantastic group of performers, and a crazy crowd to cheer along. Wonderful atmosphere. Offensive language and masked menaces are part of the experience. Spontaneous party after the show.

A no brainer if you are visiting Guadalajara. Tuesday evening ("Martes de Glamour", 20.30 h, check) is the time to go unless you want a family session, in which case you'd better go on Sunday. Take a taxi or Uber, never your own car. Alternatively, book tickets at the Red Pub (just Google it) and take the round trip tour on a bus with a complementary supply of beer, but mind that doing it this way exposes you to a very special treatment when entering the Arena... As a rule, there are two prices: tier ("balcón" or ring 2; ring 3 is apparently closed nowadays), or "sillas" (ring 1, at the ground level). The difference amounts to a bare 50 Mexican pesos but drops you either into the "rich"side or intoto the "poor" side ("1000% Poor"). Seats at 12.45 at ring 2, right in front of the ramp through wrestlers get into the place, are pretty quiet & peaceful: sit there for a mild experience. Sits at 12.30 - 12.40 ring 2 are the place to go if you really want to grasp "the 1000% poor" experience. You'd better gulp two sizeable beers ASAP, and let you go with the pals around. The complementary experience is at ring 1 ("sillas"). At either side, your knowledge of local slang will raise for several notches. The event is, to make a long story short, hilarious. Go and enjoy!

Yelp
Whether you love Mexican wrestling or not, you will have fun. Fenders walk up and down and serve you a cup of beer that's made up of two bottles. The higher tier seats are the cheap seats and the folks in them are more than happy to let you know that throughout the performances the closer seats are more than happy to tell the cheap seats to stay in their place. It's all great fun if you love wrestling and even if you don't, this place is a must.

Yelp
Let's get ready to luchahhhh! A must when you're in GDL.We went on the Martes de Glamour night (Tuesday) and it was insane. From what I've read, the Sunday night matches start earlier and are more family-friendly. That said, I'm glad I got the full Martes experience. Need a beer? No worries, they deliver them right to you? Need a snack? The same applies. I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my birthday. The best part, aside from the flamboyant theatrics, was the atmosphere. It was like Thunderdome! From the raucous attendees behind the fences, crazy chants, and overall insanity, this was something not to be missed. We caught the double decker bus from Red Pub (go see their Yelp) and made a great night of it. For us ladies, either bring your own toilet paper or remember to bring some change for the restroom attendant. There isn't any there in the stalls. Also, buy your mascaras elsewhere. While fabulous and fun, they're overpriced and the vendors don't leave much room for bargaining. Overall, a fantastic time! Viva la lucha!

Yelp
If you love wrestling then the high flying action at Arena Coliseo for Tuesday Glamour is going to be up your alley. It reminds me of all the energy and excitement of a small indie show but in a larger venue. I root for the rudos and bought floor tickets front row but found myself hilariously surrounded by the tecnico crowd. It made for a memorable evening. Can't wait to come back for more!
