FANTASTIC!!! Everything about this property was spectacular. The location, the staff, the accommodations. We stayed on bungalow #2. We had an outside fully stocked kitchen, a dinning area and a huge sun porch . Mind you this is not a all- inclusive 5 start property. This is a more intimate establishment, but with that said, we we were treated like gold. The staff from check in to check out was attentive and friendly, helpful and patient. Ricardo is a fantastic host and the cleaning staff were amazing and made the little towel art on our bed every day. The restaurant stayed open for us because we were late getting in on a very long bus ride and we’re starving. our waiter Armando was great. We swam in the pool a lot and always was clean and refreshing. Again, forget about the views, they are amazing. couldn’t have had a better time!

Lovely, clean well apointed apartment. I was just above the beach bar, with no view, but the sou d of ocean waves, fantastic terrace and comfortable bed. It was lovely, quiet, clean, affordable and 100 feet from the ocean. Would book again with no hesitation. Maderas restaurant was fantastic with great servise

Beware=Lots of steps!! I don't recommend for anyone with disabilities, handicap or elderly. Very steep incline to walk in to town and around neighborhood. Otherwise, very eclectic & unique place. Room was spacious, there's a patio area with outdoor kitchen and fridge. Not private though, it's adjacent to pool. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff is very nice. You definitely will get a work out if you stay here.

We had a standard room and it was perfectly good as we wanted to spend time exploring the town and enjoying the beach. The room was ideal in that it was spacious, had its own bathroom and kitchen area. As we ate out all the time the kitchen was only used for breakfast. The bathroom had a powerful shower and loo whilst the wash basin was separate. ||The bed was very comfortable and there were spare pillows and blankets available. The air conditioning worked well and there was a ceiling fan.||We had a short walk to the pool, down to the beach or the restaurant or up the stairs to the road. I would not recommend staying here if you find stairs a problem as there is no elevator.||I did feel the reception desk should have had more information about the town but besides that they were very helpful; printing our boarding passes and organising laundry.||My one complaint was that quite often the sunbeds were pre booked with a towel and then empty for much of the day.||A delightful place to stay if you want a relaxing beach holiday.

Great little boutique hotel! There aren't many rooms, so it was pretty quiet. The Madras beachside restaurant/bar had great guac, shrimp & tequila sunrises to get the days started off amazing. There are multiple beachside restaurants to walk to, and a boardwalk to make the trek even easier. The Zihuat bay is very swimmable and the sand is So soft! Everything was clean & the staff very friendly & accommodating. Would recommend for sure.

Great location, rustic Mexican style suites with large balconies, kitchen inside suite or outdoors on large patio, great chef at beach restaurant, hotel staff knock themselves out to please, great value and ideal place to hang on the beach with two restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't feel like cooking, live music. the lapping waves, warm water, and seaside paved paths make for enjoyable walks even if a little bumpy in spots. There are no elevators so be prepared to walk up to street and down to suite and beach. We didn't mind at all, great exercise. This hotel is a great find, locally owned and family members help provide services. We noticed constant attention to keeping the hotel areas clean and it is clear there is pride of ownership here. We have had a very enjoyable stay!

I usually wait until I am back in the UK to write my review but I am compelled to pen it now! We just love this hotel! The staff are all so friendly and are anyways helpful. The food? Well it is excellent, even my picky husband is impressed with the variety and excellence of all that is on offer. We certainly will be returning for another visit in the near future. Well done Arena Hotel, top class!
