We booked it through Airbnb and we were so happy with it! It’s a hidden gem! The location is dreamy, it’s very clean and has lots of greenery all around. We felt like we could stay in the hotel and that alone would give us a great experience of La Fortuna.
There are two pools (for adults and kids) and a jacuzzi. We swam in both, you can get big pool towels at the reception. Lots of people were swimming there, it’s a very nice and clean pool that lights up in the evening.
Rooms were very spacious and clean. We got a crib for the baby which was waiting for us upon the check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hernan was always available and made sure things were running smoothly in the hotel and at the restaurant.
Now about the restaurant. The food was amazing! We had breakfast and also tried their dinner menu as part of the Que Bueno restaurant (extra charge, a la carte). Breakfast options were changing daily. We had meat balls, shredded chicken, chorizo, puncakes, plantain, gallo pinto, fruits, eggs, pastries - everything was delicious!
The only minor inconvenience was Wi-Fi, it kept disappearing time to time but we still managed to get a few things done, it’s just not very reliable if you need to work or have a Teams call, for example.
In our opinion, it’s a 5/5 stay and food! Would definitely recommend and come back there.
