We absolutely loved loved loved the Inn. Every room is a standalone Casita. Big rooms, with incredible views of Arenal volcano. We were in a deluxe room right next to the observatory and we had so much fun viewing from our porch, room window, and the observation tower. It was beautiful behind the room as well with tropical scenery and a creek nearby. Plus, of course, the volcano. We loved the volcano. She only is clear about 10 minutes of the day; feels very special to catch her, and you are SO close. The pool is small but nice and the hottub is a nice touch. We loved wandering around the property. We also LOVED the restaurant. Wood fire pizza, and some of the best pasta we've ever had. The breakfast was lovely. We were only there 2 nights unfortunately (wish we'd stayed longer!) but the server remembered us and was so kind. The staff was wonderful and have the details down to a science. We felt very taken care of. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. 5 minutes to Baldi Hot Springs where we spent the morning and evening. Perfect.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. I was given a room at level 2 and was woken up every morning by road noise. The Wi-Fi didnt work properly, even at the reception I couldn’t connect to my VPN and was unusable in the room. Room looking a little worn. No tv channels in English. The grounds had pretty manicured landscaping but would have liked more jungle for maximum wild life. While I was there…there wasn’t any bird feeders set out and there wasn’t a sloth on the property. Some toucans did land way high up on some trees that I enjoyed seeing. It did have a decent view of volcano but it looked like there were other places with better views on the other side of the road. The buffet breakfast was just ok. Reception staff were nice.

Good hotel in general, with good infrastructure. We stayed at the Family room which is basically a bungalow for yourself. The room is spacious, the kitchen and sitting area also very nice. We cannot comment on many of the services as it rained continuously during our stay. The restaurant and breakfast are not bad, There was construction ongoing jsut adjacent to our room which made it a bit uncomfortable as it started early in the morning (after complaining, we gained 30 minutes the following day). Location is close to everything if you have a car. Cannot comment on the view due to the weather.

Arenal Volcano Inn is a gem. It is a very beautiful and peaceful property, with gorgeous landscaping (complete with a small trail and lookout tower!). It is driving distance to many hot springs and activities and about a 5-10 minute drive to La Fortuna, making it a bit out of the hustle and bustle of town but still close enough to everything. The food at the restaurant was good and the service was great. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Our kids also loved the pristine pool + hot tub. The rooms were clean and comfortable however the only thing that would have made it five stars is if they allowed four people to a room. Our family of four had to be split across two rooms when we easily could have fit in one. All in all a great experience and we would return!

I stayed here two nights as part of a tour group. Overall, I thought the hotel was nice. It’s among a lot of tropical plants and trees and if it’s clear, you have a decent view of the volcano. I sat by the pool at sunrise and sunset and listened to the birds making a heck of a lot of noise!||The room had two queen beds, a tile floor, a huge walk-in shower that would’ve held six people, and a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment up top. ||The AC worked great, as did the hot water. ||Earlier reviews were correct, in that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down the toilet, it goes in a trash container next to the toilet. It might be too much information, but based on other reviews, I brought some of my own toilet paper! ||I had several meals at the restaurant and while it wasn’t five star dining, the food was overall pretty decent. ||The staff was, to a person, over the top nice. ||The only negative to me was the WiFi was horribly slow. I could do texts and email but web browsing was very bad.

This Hotel is really nice, with friendly staff. They have a lovely view of El Arenal Volcano, a very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi and lush gardens. We stayed only for one night, but we could have stayed longer. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant has good food.

We stayed at Arenal Volcano Inn when exploring this area. Our unit was up slope and had an unobstructed view of the volcano. Room was big with two beds, an adjacent alcove with coffee maker and refrigerator, and separate bathroom. The tropical grounds were tranquil, neat and well kept. Concrete or paved walkways led to different units, swimming pool, and restaurant. Breakfast was included though selections were somewhat limited. Location is around a 10 minute drive from downtown La Fortuna where many restaurants and tours/experiences purchased may be made there.
