The cottage is very comfortable and clean, and it's conveniently close to the airport. We were landed, off the plane and checked in within 25 minutes. It's an excellent place for exploring Launceston. Being self-contained made cooking and laundry easy. The hosts were friendly.

Situated in the lovely village of Evandale, our stay at Arendon Cottage was one of hte highlights of our trip in Tasmania. My husband, our adult son and I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights in May. The owner welcomed us in the driveway and made us feel very much at home. The cleanliness of the cottage was first class. The heating was already on when we arrived which was very welcoming from the cold outside. All appliances we used during our stay worked well. The cottage had a real home feeling with fresh flowers and wall decor adding to the ambience.Beds were comfortable and the cottage was always warm and welcoming to us after our days exploring the region. Breakfast supplies were ample for our needs. Shower was great. An added advantage was when the Saturday markets were on, we could just walk out our front door and walk a short distance to the markets just a few doors down without worrying about any need of a car or having the hassle of parking it. Probably the only thing that would have made things a little easier was a clothes dryer, but we managed to get the clothes dry on the outside clothes line even though it was not the sunniest weather while we were there. The washing machine was very good. Would happily stay again anytime. If you are tall, you would need to mind the height of the doorways, as the vintage cottage was not built with tall people in mind.

Located in a historic locality/town in northern Tasmania near Launceston.|The original cottage appears to be well-preserved and the add on structures (over time) have been modestly incorporated into the building. There is a small and secluded courtyard that has a nice sunny aspect (when weather permits - this is Tasmania!).|All modern conveniences are available.

The. Arendon cottage is situated in the main street of the historic village of Evandale and is only 10 minutes from the Launceston Airport. It is a great base to make day trips to the various attractions of Tasmanaia. The village itself has a number of boutique shops, café, bakery and a hotel that serves lunch and dinner. The cottage is very comfortable with two bedrooms, kitchen and modern bathroom. Breakfast provisions are provided. There is a reverse cycle air conditioner that works well in both summer and winter. Overall the Arendon cottage is highly recommended for comfort and location.

The cottage is only a 5 / 10 minute drive from the airport, which was really great for us as we were travelling all morning. The owner, Karen made us feel very welcomed in her gorgeous cottage. Breakfast was supplied which was very much appreciated; free wifi, the most comfy bed, plenty of room to just laze about, and very close to all the shops in Evandale. We just parked our car at the front of the cottage and walked everywhere......to the local pub for dinner, the markets, the general store, cafes etc. Would definitely recommend.
