Google
a good place to socialize! the staff was also very friendly. one of them noticed our table was a bit wobbly and came by to adjust it. there is a 20% gratuity for every dine in party regardless of size. as for the food.. maybe it wasn’t for our palettes? it was a little too sweet for us and we had ask the waiter what they recommended and he did mention one of them was on the sweeter side but we didn’t expect it to taste THAT sweet. empanadas were a bit on the drier side as well but we did love the crispy pork. wouldn’t come back but overall it was a nice experience!

Google
Great service (our waiter was super helpful), decent but not amazing food, not great ambiance (mainly due to blasting loud music). We expected more from the food: the street corn was just ok, the arepas decent but the fillings (meat) overcooked, dry & hard, everything arrived lukewarm, and some of the squeeze bottle sauces were meh (sickly sweet gloopy pineapple and another that tasted like Russian dressing). Loved our waiter but overall this was pretty mid.

Google
Visited for brunch and the food was great! Very filling and tasty! I did the bottomless brunch and loved that the drinks kept coming! Definitely worth the money! The staff was amazing as well! Very friendly and gave great recommendations. My favorite was the crème brûlée cheesecake! Check them out!

Google
Chicharron is my favorite. Arepa and chicharron were tasty but too salty. I wish they were a little less salty. Empanada was great. I especially liked the taste of cheese and beef. I found another good restaurant in the neighborhood.

Google
Listen… I’m Colombian, which means I basically grew up with arepas so trust me when I say: this place gets it. The food is seriously good. 10/10, I’d come back any day just for those arepas. 🇨🇴🫓💃🏻 Thanks for watch my review and please don’t forget to follow my page for more!

I finally checked out this Colombian restaurant on 31st Street between 34th and 35th Avenue, and I was seriously impressed. The vibe is super cool — they show a lot of European club soccer games and Latin American matches, plus the service is top-notch (something Colombians are definitely known for). I ordered salchipapas to start and then had an arepa with cheese and mixed meat (beef, chicken, and pork) for my main course. Everything was absolutely delicious. I’m already excited to go back and try more dishes!

Google
Honestly five stars could be based only the service that was extremely accommodating. We were a larger party of 5 and had someone with crutches needing an extra chair and late to our reservation, yet they found us a table and never rushed us. The hot coco was just amazing!! And the drinks were strong for happy hour. Would deff come back.

Google
Absolutely scrumptious!! Hits every mark. Every dish is made with high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere and ambience is great and the service is very friendly and personable. Good value for what you pay for as well. As a Colombian, I highly recommend Arepa Lady for authentic Colombian street food or just a great delicious meal! The mixed queso arepa is my personal favorite :)

Yelp
I was super excited to try this location since I had already gone to the one in Jackson Heights. I decided to throw my birthday brunch with my friends and family since I knew the food would not disappoint. The decor inside is awesome for pictures and they have a beautiful bar and always great music playing in the background. You cannot beat their brunch prices since it is $20 for a bottomless sangria, margarita, Bellini or mimosa for 90 minutes. They have a vast selection arepas, calentado or burger that range from $15-$20. Definitely in the budget. The calentado was a pretty big size and very filling. The arepa rellena was so delicious. The drinks were flowing and our server had our glasses filled up every minute of the brunch. I cannot wait to come here in the summertime to enjoy their outside patio.

Yelp
The arepas are fantastic, the best in the neighborhood. I wasn't sure how much I liked arepas but it turns out that I really, really do. I had simply never had versions that were this good before. For my first timers, one arepa is more than enough as an entree. Especially if you order apps, like the delicious Deditos de Queso (basically Colombian mozzarella sticks). The arepa varieties are interesting. The Arepo de Queso (with sirloin) was my favorite. It feels like the old Xzibit meme, "dawg, I heard you like cheese..." because they literally stuff your arepa full of cheese then pour layer upon layer of cheese on top of it. I also added avocado. It was a delight. Though less cheesy (seriously how could anything be more cheesy?) the Arepa de Choclo was also really good. It was slightly sweet and definitely giving cornbread vibes. The atmosphere at Arepa Lady is thumping. It has a full bar, dim lighting, and throbbing bass. It's a cool and fun place to start a weekend night.

Yelp
I have been to the Astoria and Jackson Heights locations multiple times, and I can attest both are solid 5/5s. When I go to Arepa Lady, I typically indulge myself with an arepa de queso (I usually get mixed- chorizo, carne asada, pollo). The meat is always perfectly cooked, seasoned and is as juicy as one could ask. The arepa itself is always perfectly done, crisp on the outside and warm & cheesy on the inside. I can easily say the arepa de queso from Arepa Lady is my single favorite meal in New York City. In addition to the arepas, the sides I've tried (maduros & tostones) are consistently great! The maduros are always ripe, a little crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. I have NEVER gotten an under ripe or dry maduro from Arepa Lady. The tostones are also perfectly done- no notes, just delicious. If you are looking for an amazing flan, then look no further! Arepa Lady doesn't just excel in arepas, their flan is also the very best in New York City. The flan is perfectly sweetened with a perfect soft, yet firm consistency. I rarely pass on dessert at Arepa Lady. The service at Arepa Lady is always fast and friendly (at both Jackson Heights and Astoria locations). The only deciding factor in which location in Queens to go to depends on the vibe you are looking for. If you are looking for a cozy vibe, go to the Jackson Heights location. If you want a modern vibe with a bar and televisions, go to the Astoria location. Bonus: The Astoria Arepa Lady also has a $35 per person bottomless brunch. I challenge you to find a better deal for both the quality of food and sangria!

Yelp
If you want arepas this is a good place to come to. Came for brunch-- I got the arepa rellena which comes with grilled onions, cheese, chorizo, and sweet plantains. It was very good and filling. The yuca fries are also very good. They have bottomless brunch for 90 minutes, I got the passion fruit sangria which was good-- a little tart but good. The servers don't even wait until you are done with your drink before they are refilling it which was great! Music was good, space was nice, clean and well lit.

Yelp
Food: This was my first time trying Colombian food, and it was delicious! My friend is Colombian so she had us order a little bit of everything to give us a taste of the cuisine. Personally, I thought the apple soda was way too sweet, but their juices were fresh and perfectly sweet. I would recommend their lula juice. We ordered a platter of different meats, which included beef, chicken, sausage, and chicharron. This was very good and perfect if you have a group to share it with. The meats were moist and well-seasoned. We also tried different types of arepas, including savory and sweet ones. You can order the arepas with or without cheese stuffed inside; I ordered the one with cheese, but next time would probably leave it out because it was a little bit heavy in addition to the meat on top. You have your choice of meat or vegetable on top of the arepa. My favorite was the sweet one with cheese inside because it was a nice balance of sweet and savory. For dessert we also ordered the hot chocolate con queso which my friend described as a very traditional Colombian drink. Service: Service was excellent here, and the staff were very friendly and came back to check on us throughout the meal. Ambiance: The place can accommodate small and large groups. They keep the place dark for ambiance, and it can get quite noisy as the restaurant gets busy but overall seating was comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Made reservations for 4, it was only 3 of us. Kind of empty in a Friday. But it was the Friday after thanksgiving. Really cute place they even have outdoor seating for the nicer weather. Nice date night atmosphere. Music was 10 out of 10. I never really had Colombian food so wasn't sure what to expect. We order a platter with different meats and some assorted empanadas. I tried the beef it was shredded and it came with a nice cilantro kind of dip. The empanadas also came with a variation of sauces. The meat platter had chicken. Steak, chorizo and chicharron. We had margaritas they weren't that strong we also had shots.

Yelp
If you're after a club vibe with your arepa, you have found your haven. This place has a loud party vibe on weekends with an in house DJ playing. While not your average arepa spot, it's enjoyable and unique. Something to take out of towners to for a real NY experience. Food: 4/5. The food is fast casual, and very tasty. Huge portions, and two arepas filled me up. Drinks: 4/5. Not the most subtle but they were tasty And fairly priced. Service: 3/5. Took a bit longer than expected after the faster service at the food trucks. However they were nice Vibe: 4/5. Very unique and like a party. Something for a nice change of pace

Yelp
Waitress is very informal and needs better interpersonal skills. Food was amazing especially the sauces. Great music and they have pictures of owner who started on a food truck, amazing story. Outdoor seating and full bar. Great place overall.

Yelp
I have been to the Jackson heights location but have been meaning to try this one since it has opened up! I love all the restaurants on the block itself & finally decided to come here with some friends! The aesthetic is nicer than the other locations, "Instagram worthy" as one of my friends said haha. The menu is pretty simple, you have some apps, patacones & the arepas. The guac appetizer was a small portion, but tasty! I also tried a frozen mango marg & it was light on alcohol, but the arepa definitely made up for it! I would come here again for the arepas!

Yelp
Craving a taste of Colombia? Look no further than Arepa Lady! This cozy Colombian restaurant, owned by my best friend's family, is a true culinary treasure in the heart of Jackson Heights. Her grandma, a former lawyer in Colombia, took her love for arepas to the streets of Roosevelt Ave. with a food cart! After years of hard work and saving up, they finally opened their own storefront, and the rest is history. Trust me when I say, Arepa Lady is the real deal. From the mouthwatering food to the unbeatable vibes and amazing people, this place truly feels like my second home. If you haven't tried their arepas, you're missing out! Come join the family and support local businesses like theirs.

Yelp
Awesome place if you want mouth watering Colombian food, my friend and I had both the Arepa Rellena Pollo/Carne and it came out hot and delicious, the atmosphere is very "influencer esq" aesthetically with high ceilings. Definitely a place to come watch sporting events especially the Copa America/World Cup, just know for those you definitely would want to make a reservation Nova was our bartender and he made sure we had everything we needed, awesome service
google avatar

Chen H.

Yelp
Craving for Latin American food? Arepa get you covered. The dishes we tried here are authentic, sandwiches with corn bread have a hinted sweet flavor to them. The passion fruit dessert was also creamy and fruity. Even though we came on a busy Saturday, we didn't have to wait for long for our food to arrive. And the staff was friendly. The general ambiance is relaxed, good for family and friends hangout.

Yelp
I came here near when they first opened. The arepas were good, but I don't think this lives up to the hype for me especially for the portion size vs. price. My main gripe was that it could have been served more hot. Arepa de choclo (sweet corn) with mixed meat: $13 - I liked the chorizo over the chicken and beef, which was just slightly dry but not bad. The arepa itself could have had more flavor, with a bit more crispness on the outside. Arepa de rellena (thicker Venezuelan) with shrimp: $14 - this was surprisingly better than the choclo one. The shrimp was better than the meats, the cheese was more melted due to this being served hotter, and the arepa itself had a nice texture that went well altogether. They provide 4 different sauces as well - hot sauce, a thousand island type sauce, a pineapple chili type sauce, and a green sauce.

Yelp
Ok a little disappointed second time around ordering delivery from here. While the portion sizes were great, the food came cold (due to weather? Packaging?) and was nothing like my dine in experience here. I ordered the chicharron again but it was not crispy at all, and just hard, too salty, and cold. It looked really messy and I couldn't even finish it. Guac was abundant.
google avatar

Maria Angelica M.

Yelp
This is the second time of disappointment . I wanted to give a second chance after. I typed on each item i ordered please put hot sauce on the side, no pink sauce. Guess what I received? 5 little containers of pink sauce and none hot sauce! Great! Then the arepa: container had grease and sauce all over. The arepa had 3 pieces of each meat only (very stingy on the meat) and the chorizo was raw since it was cut too thick. Food was definitely rushed

Katelan M.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere, loud. Gets busy quickly. Food: Ordered arepa con chicharron, the calentado and tostones con guac. Bf got food poisoning from the calentado 5 hours later and threw up at least 10 times. 0/10 would not recommend Margarita's were extremely sour 2/10 Mimosas were ok 3/10

Yelp
Great and ample location. As a colombian I was expecting more of this location. I Went there for brunch /lunch . The have happy hour starting at opening. I Had a passion fruit mojito that had great flavor but no so much liquor taste. but it had great flavor so a 4 on that. We ordered guacamole and tostones.Tostones were good they gave u about 4. w a small plate of guacamole .The guac was ok not so much flavor or spices, this was 18 dollars. My friend ordered #chicharon . She loved it with the arepa. She also had the sangria, it was pretty tasty at a price of 14 per glass. I also ordered a chicken chuzo with papa criolla. chicken again a bit hard and not that tasty. Also ordered a street corn. That did not seem to be grilled , Just had cheese on top and I guess butter. Not the best I had. there was only 1 server slash everything. I guess because it was monday and early lunch time. So he did the orders, did the drinks and pretty much everything. He did pretty good for been there by himself and got a few more tables to attend. I was expecting more flavors on the food. The place is wheelchair friendly including the bathrooms.

Yelp
Mouthwatering arepas! I especially love the shredded chicken ones and the veggie ones. I often get them on my way home from work for a midweek treat to myself when I don't feel like making dinner. Always fresh, filling, and delicious.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this restaurant since the business just opened their third location in Astoria. To be fair, they have just opened recently. However, I thought they could do better. My mom and I came here on a Friday night for dinner. The servers were friendly and brought out the food quite fast. Though, this concerned me that the food was premade. I ordered the Arepa de Choclo (sweet corn) with shredded chicken and fried sweet plantains on the side. The arepa itself was okay, but not very sweet and a bit on the dry side. Tasted as if it was reheated from earlier and not made fresh. The chicken tasted bland, dry, and didn't have much flavor. My mom ordered the Arepa de Choclo with shredded beef, which was significantly more flavorful than the chicken. The cheese also could've been melted more. Overall, nothing in the arepa tasted hot and I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The fried sweet plantains were served hot and tasted better- having a nice, crispy, and sweet taste. Also, what's with the lights being off? Walking by the restaurant, I couldn't tell if they were open or closed since the ambiance was very dark. We had to use the candle light on the table to look at our menus. Turn on the lights!

B T.

Yelp
The arepas here are the best in the neighborhood, especially after having others that didn't stand up to them. The patacones are also great, the plantain isn't tough or dried out. The cooks here always cook shrimp perfectly. The hospitality is always wonderful.

Yelp
One of the best Spanish restaurant that opened in the hood not so long ago. Service is amazing but the food is over the top If you like Spanish food this is the place. Not to mention their have a back Yeard and dogs can join!
google avatar

Monserrat T.

Yelp
The service was amazing. I love their arepas de choclo con queso but I went for the Colombian Burger. Had it before and it was
google avatar

Sonia D.

Yelp
I love to support family business and my Spanish people, happy they opened in Astoria! When we got there we thought the place was closed it's dark outside and inside, I think will need something to show it's open you'll need to get very close to the door to know they are open. We ordered a mix patacón sandwich and arepa with shrimp both good but the arepa could used a bit more of shrimp, wish they have more vegetarian options. Place inside looks great for those Instagram pictures well done for decoration. Will be back to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
This popular Colombian restaurant in Jackson Heights recently opened up a 2nd location in Astoria. The owner actually confided to me that he liked the restaurant scene much better. I rarely eat Colombian food, so I needed help with some of the dishes, which took a bit of time for me to figure out. The owner has spent some time decorating and creating a wonderful interior as well as a nice backyard. Service was a little slow, but when the food came, it was very good Among the dishes we ordered were mini empanadas. The restaurant is located in the new food court on 31st street in between the Broadway and 36th Ave subway stops.

Jaime P.

Yelp
The food is great. As far as authenticity, they do a great job. I love this place and I have so much farther in them. They lack in vary small areas of service. Last call was never announced. Quality check as well.
google avatar

Tatiana G.

Yelp
This steak with shrimp was amazing! Incredibly flavorful and juicy. Highly highly recommend!
google avatar

Ortus R.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a late night cocktail. Pluses: staff was super friendly and the decor was cool. Minuses: drink was sickly sweet, music was too loud, and Newsmax was on the TV. No thanks.

Christopher L.

Yelp
So delicious! I loved the food at the Jackson Heights location so when this opened in Astoria I was so happy to try it out. I have now been a few times and plan to return more. Not only is the food excellent, but it is affordably priced. Drinks are very good, too. The vibe at the Astoria location is more polished and modern than the homey feeling of the Jackson Heights location. They also have an outdoor space with picnic tables for nicer weather. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Loved it here!!!! The ambiance, the service, the sauces, the food and drinks. Minimalistic, but the flavors did it. Sorry no picture of the food, didn't make the cut it was so good. We got the arepas de choclo with chicharron, queso, sirlion. And order of empanadas. Price and portion was great overall. Will definitely be back. They even have an outside area!

Carolina C.

Yelp
Came all the way from California to try the amazing empanadas and arepas from this place! I love how fresh the food tastes, I would definitely recommend this place.

Lora B.

Yelp
The arepa lady went from a food truck to multiple locations around NYC for a reason. Some of the best arepas I've ever had. Each location is beautiful, the food is always fresh, service is always great.

Nelson C.

Yelp
this was the worst food i had in a while . im Colombian and know how things should taste. the cheese arepa was raw. literally. the arepa rellena with sirloin was dry and the meat was so hard i couldn't eat it . don't understand how they have three locations . never again . don't go there and waste your money. i was gonna take a picture but it wasnt worth

Yelp
After its humble start as a street vendor in Jackson Heights, Arepa Lady just opened its third location (6th restaurants inside the World artisan market food hall), joining other ethnic and local eateries. Arepa Lady is famous for its authentic Colombian culinary treats, such as patacones, grilled corns, burgers, and handmade empanadas. What's great the menu offers different dietary options, so surely caters to a variety of eating needs. Don't forget to fortify the flavors with the squirt bottles of sauces. So happy to see the OG returning to Queens and perhaps it will even expand to other boroughs too.

azka z.

Yelp
Server and bartender are friendly and attentive and it's a beautiful location with good music. The corn and arepa con queso with shredded beef are delicious. Food, drinks overall 10/10 I would DEF recommend

Francisco S.

Yelp
This place has quickly become one of my favorite places to have dinner and drinks in Astoria. The food is delicious, my favorite is their arepa rellena con chicharrón. Their happy hour specials are priced well and they offer different happy hour drinks each day. The staff here are attentive and friendly. Environment is chill and music is always on point, I highly recommend.

Stefanie W.

Yelp
Delicious! I had the arepa de queso with pollo desmechado (shredded chicken), and it was so succulent and flavorful. I love the sauces they give you, especially the pineapple sauce. The guacamole with patacones (fried plantains) were also great.

Alejandro O.

Yelp
everything was awesome. Staff is extremely friendly, cant wait for the patio this summer.

hayat a.

Yelp
I love there arepa but the arepa choclo wasn't fresh. I would go again but maybe I should try going at a earlier time to make sure it's fresh and warm.
