Argyle Guest House

We had the attic room, it was lovely down to the detail. Also the room had a lovely view overlooking the abbey which was nice to look at on a morning. The prices are very good i also believe. And the host bill i would give an 11/10. He was very helpfull and prompt in any queries or questions if we needed anything. And he even gave us a hand with the car on our departure as it wouldnt start. Cant wait to visit again. Would definitely reccomend, thanks again for a great stay

I've stayed at Argyle House twice now, the first time with friends and a second time with my partner. ||Bills guesthouse is wonderful! The beds are super comfortable, the interior of the rooms are amazing and quirky and Bill is a fantastic host. ||He was flexible with check in letting us check in nice and early with out bags ensuring we could spend the day walking around whitby. ||I would recommend Argyle House to anyone and I will definitely be back! Thank you Bill.

Arrived at 9am smooth check in. Our room was ready bill the owner is lovely, even kept our friends arrival a surprise for my partner. |Spotlessly clean room, lovely and clean with everything you possibly need. We had booked the attic room which is a bit of a hike but lovely. Breakfast was nice and cooked my fussy partners eggs just has he likes them. Can't wait to return, nothing was too much trouble thankyou! Can't wait to return

Excellent location. Quiet neighbourhood. Very warm welcome from friendly and helpful hosts. Clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Excellent facilities. Lovely home cooked breakfast. Free street parking. Highly recommended.

Visiting Whitby for an anniverary weekend, and received a warmwelcome from Bill the owner. We were shown to our room, which was very nicely fitted out and quiet at nights - except for a stool there was nowhere to sit except on the bed. |The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was exceptional - the eggs par excellence!

The room is clean and well prepared for guests, the host is very helpful and very quick to respond to messages when you have a question

Fantastic guest house. Staff are lovely, excellent service. Rooms are very clean. Everything provided for. Breakfast is outstanding. Bill is also lovely, makes an effort in getting to know his guests. Would definitely stay here again

My friends and I stayed in Argyle Guest House for the weekend to explore Whitby and we all had such a wonderful stay. The rooms were just incredible and each had their own special personal touches and themes. The attention to detail made the stay feel super luxurious down to the incredible furniture to the super cosy comfy beds. To make things even better the breakfast was super tasty. We all opted for a full English breakfast and the service was prompt and friendly. Everything on the plate was clearly locally sourced and the whole breakky was simply delicious! The owner of the hotel, Bill, popped out to offer us more and make sure we were all happy with our stays. Overall we all had a fabulous stay and will definitely be staying here again. I'd 100% recommend Argyle Guest House to anyone who wants to explore the city or even if you just want to stay in a really cool unique place.
