Argyle Motor Lodge

Very clean and amazing sheets and views . I was in room 31 which was a great room with nice views and quiet at night. I was impressed with the size of my room for the price. I had a great two night stay at this motor. Next to Ridges and a 10 minute walk into North Hobart where you will find lots of restaurants and cafes. Catch a bus on the main strip into the city 5 mins away.

Everything was clean, lovely staff, great hot water shower, food nearby. Only catch it's 30min walk / $2.70 bus to the main town near the pier. Booked through trip.com, convenient experience. Guest Laundry is only available during normal hours which is inconvenient if you're out touring all day.

I really liked the rooms at Argyle Motor Lodge. They were simple, clean, and most importantly, staff came in daily to clean and replenish supplies. The price was reasonable!

We had a very unprofessional experience at the hotel. The younger receptionist, from Colombia, is very kind and helpful. But there's an older receptionist who really disappointed us. We checked out and left our luggage at the hotel to pick up by 6 PM, which is when the reception closes. We were on a guided tour and let them know we were on our way to pick up our luggage. Five minutes before 6 PM, the receptionist called to ask where we were; we said we were close, and she hung up on us. We arrived at the hotel at 6:01 PM. She looked annoyed, indignant about our one-minute delay. She didn't say anything and left. We felt bad because the hotel wasn't cheap, and we invested in this vacation. The hotel's location is average, and the rooms are good. I was in Tasmania to write a report for a magazine, and unfortunately, I have to recount what happened.

Warmly greeted on arrival. Older style motel but bathroom updated. Good shower and hot water. Handy to cafes, etc. tv and aircon worked. Comfy beds and electric blankets and property was quiet. We had a good night’s sleep. Free wifi and parking. We would stay there again next time In Hobart.

Yep it's a bit dated BUT the place is extremely clean, the rooms are good, the beds are comfortable and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Have stayed twice now. Location is excellent! Highly recommended!
