A true gem inside Stirling Castle! Not only is it well organized and preserved as a museum, it also presents a fine military spectacle through its numerous authentic artifacts, flags, weapons, uniforms, marvelous paintings and provides a clear and concise history of the proud Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. An absolute must for any military history enthusiast visiting Scotland and a great source of inspiration for military personnel, motivated by heroism and quest for glory. Congratulations to all the museum's team members and special thanks to the CEO for the interesting conversation and his kind behavior!
Second Visit (17th February 2026) impressions: After having been impressed by the top quality A&SH museum, I decided to explore the Scottish military tradition more thoroughly and visit Scotland again. This time I had the honour and pleasure to be invited for a personal guided tour of the A&SH museum, provided by none other than the CEO, himself! Major Alan Carmichael (Retd) narrated masterfully the proud history of the Regiment and explained details, making the experience all the more fascinating. The Museum staff does a splendid job maintaining all the authentic artifacts in the best condition. As a career Officer and military history enthusiast, I highly recommend the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum, easily the top attraction inside the Stirling Castle, the spiritual home of the Regiment!
