We had such a lovely stay at the Argyll Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel so welcome and cared for. Our room was cosy, spotless, and had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding fresh, beautifully cooked, and served with genuine warmth. Nick & Ian are fantastic and there beautiful Dalmatians Logan and winter. It felt like such a treat to unwind here, and we left feeling completely relaxed and looked after. We will definitely be back! Charlene William amber X

Had a really lovely stay at the Argyll hotel - a great beachside hotel in a perfect location for anyone exploring Kintyre. The views out over the Atlantic are stunning. Received a really friendly welcome and it is very dog friendly. Breakfast was delicious! Dinner was good value but personally would have preferred the option of just one course as the portion sizes are very generous! Overall, a fabulous stay and would recommend to all!

It’s only been 4 months since we last stayed here but it is a favourite place of ours. We are always welcomed as friends and Ian, Nick and the rest of the team look after us very well. Everyone puts in a great deal of effort to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible.|The food is excellent both at Breakfast and Dinner. The view from the restaurant is lovely overlooking the beach towards Islay, Jura and Gigha.|The rooms are serviced daily unlike most other hotels these days. Although fairly compact, they are comfortable and well laid out.|It is in a beautiful part of the country and sitting on the terrace watching the sunset is amazing. We’ll be back again soon.

We had dinner at the Argyll and were so impressed by the welcome, quality of the food (see pics) and the superb location, overlooking the beach, that we will be back to stay soon.|For the record hubby had the chicken pakora to start, steak and Guinness pie for main washed down with Loch Fine ale. I had tomato and red pepper soup, shepherdess pie (veggie, made with lentils) and to drink a local gin, Tarbet Legbiter.|Everything was superb and I was especially pleased to see several vegetarian choices on the menu.. none of which were veggie lasagne or macaroni cheese!

We came to this establishment at the recommendation of a friend who lives locally and we really liked it here. Although the room we stayed in was small, there was still enough room to do what needed to be done. The lounge and dining areas were very nice and would no doubt be very scenic in the right conditions, but that is of course up to Mother Nature, nonetheless, the sound of the waves and the birdlife out on the beach was lovely. We had breakfast while we stayed, and the servings were very generous (way too much for us small eaters😊), and the food was delicious. All the staff couldn’t do enough and were a big plus to the stay.

I spent an overnight with my dad for Father's Day from the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The views of the beach are something els. We loved what they have done with this hotel with great pieces of furniture and quirky bits and pieces. The dinner and breakfast has no faults and the comfortable rooms with cosy beds made us feel at home. We loved the fact we can just step out and walk on the beach. There was a great atmosphere and we highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone travelling to Kintyre, you won't be disappointed.

Visited the restaurant for dinner during a weekend stay in Campbeltown. Starters were amazing! The mussels were definitely the best I’ve ever had and the filo pasty haggis in peppercorn sauce my husband had was delicious. Mains unfortunately weren’t so great. The steak pie beef should’ve been melt in the mouth but it really could’ve done with another half an hour cooking in my opinion. I had the Sunday roast and the beef was way overcooked for my taste but to be fair I had been told that it was cooked medium/well so my fault really that I didn’t listen and enjoy it. |Dessert of cheesecake was lovely. |I’d definitely go again as the atmosphere is so welcoming the starters were sublime as was dessert. I’ll listen to the advice given next time and be more discerning about my food selection in regard to the mains. |Thank you to the owners for their warm welcome and making our afternoon so enjoyable.
