Aria Estate, near Areopolis, Mani, Greece - Explore & Book

"Covering the central prong of the south Peloponnese, the Deep Mani is a wild and enigmatic region – even most Greeks consider it remote. From the arid interior of the Taygetos Mountains to the craggy coastline of sheltered coves, it remains wonderfully off-radar. Sleepy villages hide peacefully amid ancient olive groves, while abandoned stone towers hint at a more turbulent past. Here, on a hillside that drops steeply away to the Messinian Bay, the spectacular Ariá Estate was built. Inspired by traditional Maniot architecture, the 15 apartment-style rooms and suites complement their natural surrounds. Terracotta-tiled roofs and thick walls of pale stone reflect the calming palette of the local landscape, while the stylish and superbly finished interiors reveal a strong eye for contemporary design. Each features a kitchenette, and suites have a private terrace, but you won't want to miss the 4-course breakfasts on the main verandah, with its stunning panoramic view. Take a dramatic drive south to Cape Tenaro, glide by boat through the Diros Caves, eat fresh fish and swim with turtles at picturesque Limeni just below the hotel. Couples and families with teenagers looking for peace and rugged beauty away from the crowds will be in heaven. Highs A spectacular setting on the Mani Peninsula, with uninterrupted west-facing ocean views: a perfect spot for sunset aperitifsWe were blown away by the quality and beauty of the suites: truly 5* materials, stunning organic design, and masses of spaceYouthful staff and well-travelled owner Xanthi (when she is there) are super helpful, going out of their way to make your stay specialWe loved the delicious 4-course breakfasts and tasting-style dinner menu: local recipes and seasonal produce presented with flairYou're just above the most picturesque fishing village in the Mani (Limeni), and one of its few sandy beaches (Neo Itilo) Lows The sandy beach at Neo Itilo, and the off-rock swimming at Limeni, are a 5-7 minute drive: just too far to walkIt's a peaceful place so won't suit those looking to partyA few rooms lack sea view (the clue is in their names)The area is remote so you'll want a car to get here and explore" - Michael Cullen

I had a lovely stay here. The biggest highlight is definitely the location of the property – the views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset there will remain one of my prime memories of my stay in Greece. The room was modern, clean, and spacious – everything you could hope for. Panagiota, the hotel manager, and her team took such wonderful care of us; we truly felt like VIPs and at home. We were lucky that the hotel was very quiet at the end of autumn, which made the stay even more special ! The restaurant was excellent, with lovely staff, and having breakfast with that view is just a must-do experience. I definitely recommend Aria Estate Suite & Spa, and if I get the chance to come back, I will return as many times as possible!

The views are absolutely breathtaking and the main building and terrace are beautiful so we can see what the attraction is for most. However, considering we travelled all the way from the U.K. and had arranged meetings in advance for the possibility of choosing this as our wedding venue the Manager (lady with black hair) who saw us at breakfast and had arranged to meet for 11am literally just disappeared and didn’t inform us whatsoever and nor did she apologise until approached later that evening! We had travelled down especially from Athens too but fortunately we had tied in the far better Kisterna Hotel where the staff couldn’t do enough! ||The shower room flooded on day one with water accumulated over the floor until the morning due to poor drainage that was partially fixed upon being reported. Then we were served our starters in the main restaurant as we were the only guests who had ordered food but were forgotten as a larger group were then served before us as we waited for our mains. The Manager (lady with black hair) told us the chef was under pressure 😂- What during the off season when you had us and one other group? Honestly for the money it was turning into a circus 🤡 Then on Day 2 we had no towels for showers and the phone inside the room did not work either. Was any money deducted from our bill? Of course not even though we spent another £145 in the restaurant for one dinner and the room and service was not meeting the standards.||We totally understand why people would wish to stay here as the views are not something the manager created so the natural beauty can compensate somewhat. We personally would not be staying again and would choose other places such as the Margi in Athens, Kirsterna, or the incredible places in Costa Naverino.

Excellent hotel in a wonderful location with a breathtaking view. The staff is outstanding, and the manager is truly delightful. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and the breakfast is superb. From the moment you enter the hotel gate, you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world. Highly recommended!

We spent 3 nights here and it was utter bliss. Ideally situated between Limeni and Areopoli, the location is perfect as a base for exploring the Mani Peninsula. Pictures don't do the place justice. We splurged for 'The Villa' and it was incredible. Jaw-droppingly spacious both inside and out (with a multi-level balcony and our own private hot tub) we loved every minute we stayed here. ||The staff went above and beyond to help with all our needs. This was every bit the relaxing coastal paradise we hoped it would be. We loved breakfast every morning, and adored watching sunset on our balcony every night. The private outdoor spa tub was the perfect relaxing highlight for each afternoon (though we did wish it had a little more privacy as the balconies of some of the adjacent hotels look down in on it). ||Both the restaurant and the spa were great as well. Overall, our stay well exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return!

We have just returned from the most wonderful 6 night stay at Aria for our anniversary and it truly exceeded all expectations. Welcomed on our arrival by the lovely manager Panagiota, every little touch during our stay was so special. The location is second to none. Perched high above the coast, with breathtaking panoramic views in every direction, Aria is perfectly situated near the charming towns of Limeni and Areopoli - both well worth exploring. Watching the sunset from our own private terrace or whilst dining alfresco was an absolute highlight. Nothing is too much for the wonderful staff. Maria, Alexandra, Maurius - to just name a few - made breakfasts, dinners & snacks by the pool so enjoyable. The spa is pure bliss. We spent most afternoons unwinding there, often with the space entirely to ourselves thanks to the intimate, boutique nature of the hotel. We couldn't recommend this hotel enough & are already dreaming of our next visit! Thank you all!

Absolutely magnificent place to stay for a relaxing and satisfying experience! The view from the road just before we reached the resort was wonderful but it could not compare to the stunning view from the grand balcony where breakfast and dinner are served - sunset views are simply not to be missed! Panayiota, the manager, was very welcoming and looking to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, even when work obligations intervened and had to make use of hotel scanner and printer. The resort is very well designed to fit the surrounding nature, a fact reflected both in the construction materials selected and the landscape architecture. On the whole, it just blends in to the rugged ridge that ends in the blue waters of the bay below.||Suites and rooms are equally well designed, keeping the light in, when you want it, and the heat out. Construction and finishing are very well done, again ensuring guest comfort - stone tiles feel cozy to walk barefoot on.||The main pool, below and at the edge of the grand balcony, offers the same views and it is just amazing to watch the sunset from. ||Meals were expertly prepared - breakfast options comprised of basically the best Greek and international cuisine offers, using fresh ingredients, some from the resort's garden and almost all locally sourced. The dinner menu is somewhat limited, but all that is prepared, (and we tried virtually everything) is done expertly - Philippos, the chef, is passionate about his creations and it shows! And this goes for almost all the staff we met during our stay. Anastasia, who looked after us at dinner and once for breakfast, was professionally attentive but also personally engaging, which really made a difference on how we felt as guests.||We used the resort as our base to explore nearby places, small towns and beaches, which added variety and enriched our stay.||This is a place for unpretentious rest and relaxation, especially suited for couples and families.

Stayed at Aria with my wife for the weekend. Simply amazing!!|As soon as we entered the hotel, we were impressed by how beautiful and serene this place is. The view of the Mediterranean Sea from above and the lovely sunset is unparalleled. Definitely a place that helps you calm down, sit back and enjoy. |The staff is great too. Very welcoming, always keen to help, polite and friendly. |Breakfast is good. We did not have lunch or dinner there. |The room was beautiful. Very spacious and clean. Also had a jacuzzi!!|Areopoli and Limeni are very close by (5mins drive each) and they are both mesmerising!||Overall, a great place to stay at if you visit Mani!!

The location for this place is stunning. The restaurant is generally really high quality too, staff were very attentive and our room with a hot tub was fantastic. It is child friendly, families are very welcome (our young kids had a great time), but its not geared towards targeting families as such. That wasn't a problem for us.
