The Best Hotels in Prague of 2024

"Music fills the air inside Aria Hotel, both figuratively and literally. The boutique property, which was a T+L World’s Best Awards winner in 2022, is comprised of 51 rooms and suites, each inspired by a musical style, artist, or composer. Individual floors honor different genres, whether classical, contemporary, jazz, or opera, and were designed by Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini, two Italian designers who previously collaborated with Gianni Versace. Here, they’ve handpicked custom-made furniture paired with Saffron beds, luxury bathrooms, and Molton Brown toiletries. The musical theme extends beyond the rooms, too. Guests are granted access to an expansive musical library, available both in a physical library housing more than 5,000 CDs and DVDs, plus a collection of musical literature, as well as a digital one via Apple TV. Situated within Malá Strana (Lesser Town), the hotel also has spa services, screening rooms, fine dining, a rooftop terrace restaurant, and private access to Vrtba Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is also Prague's oldest Baroque garden." - Travel + Leisure Editors

10 Best Hotels in Prague

"Would you rather stay in the Ella Fitzgerald or the Abba room, the Dvorjak or the Beatles? Or how about the Hendrix Room—though it might be a bit loud for some. When the Czech owner of the Aria asked Versace designers Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini to fill his new hotel in the Mala Strana district with music back in 2003, that’s exactly what they did. A marble floor embossed with the notes of a Gregorian chant leads into the winter garden lobby where a Bosendorfer grand waits to be played. In a cubby to one side, resident music concierge Dr. Ivana Stehlikova will sort tickets for the Rudolfinum and other venues, as well as rummage through her extensive DVD and CD collection for any requests. And on the three floors above, each bedroom is named for a different composer or musician, with an angular caricature by Czech artist Joseph Blecha outside. But this is overwhelmingly a classical hotel rather than a rock-and-roll one—though more light opera than Mahler symphony. The recently refurbished bedrooms glow in a haze of soft, velvety elegance, with powder pink and blue sofas and armchairs, without slipping into chintz; while carefully edited antique pieces—an Art Deco clock, gilt-framed oil paintings—are placed here and there. The owner’s art collection also stretches to a few works by Dalí—an impressive statue of the artist, holding an egg aloft, stands in one of the dining rooms (the restaurant, Coda, has a fine line in re-interpreting Czech favorites, with lovage gnocchi, venison with croissant dumplings, and plum ravioli on the menu). Up on the rooftop is a summer terrace with wraparound views of the Castle and spire-spiked skyline; next door is a gem of a baroque garden from 1720, all parterres, yew balls, and terraces, which guests have special access to. Aria is the sort of idiosyncratic, slightly eccentric place that Prague does very well—you’d have to be tone-deaf not to love it." - Rick Jordan

"Prague’s centuries-old connection to music survived occupation by both the Germans and the Communists, so it’s fitting that those deep roots strike a chord at Aria Hotel Prague , where all of the rooms are named after famous composers or singers, from homegrown sons like Dvořák and Smetana to contemporary icons like the Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald, and Elvis Presley. The hotel even has a music director who can point you to the city’s best performances, as well as assist with suggestions in the music library; guests borrow CDs or concert DVDs to watch in their rooms, which are all outfitted with hi-fi sound systems that include Marantz speakers, plus flat-screen TVs, Blue-Ray players, iPads, and Apple TVs. All 51 accommodations were given a head-to-toe makeover in early 2018, resulting in sumptuous rooms decorated in shades of soft peach, dusty rose, and sandy taupe, and combining a pleasing mix of antiques and modern furniture. During summer, the superb CODA restaurant commands stunning rooftop views, while the Winter Garden Atrium is cozy perfection in colder months with its piano recitals accompanying afternoon tea or wine."

Aria Hotel Prague by Library Hotel Collection

"Located within walking distance of the Castle, Old Town Square, and many of the city's most beloved landmarks, the Aria Hotel’s musically themed suites offer a fun, and welcome, reprieve from stuffier digs. Designed by Italian architects Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini (best known for their collaborations with Gianni Versace) this formerly modest, grey complex was transformed into a quirky, but sophisticated, music-themed hotel in 2003. Spread over four floors, the 51 guest rooms are each dedicated to four specific genres: Contemporary, Classical, Opera and Jazz, and pay homage to legends like Brahms, Bernstein, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, The Beatles, and Mozart (the latter is the theme of the two-bedroom presidential suite, as he first visited Prague as a child). CODA Restaurant, whose tables trickle out to the open rooftop, might offer one of the best meals (and views) in the city."

I liked this hotel but our room was way too small and the lighting especially in the bathroom was not good. We were in a small to bedroom room and would have preferred a larger single room. Sadly as we stayed three nights I should have asked for a different room at check in. The food here is superlative and we had one of the best meals on our trip down the Danube here. We also had a terrific waiter here. The breakfast omelette with truffle emulsion was so good!!! I loved everything here except my room. The bathroom door blocked the toilet. I will stay here again but not in that room!

What a gracious hotel and wonderful experience. Excellent spacious room (with expresso coffee maker), outstanding breakfast each morning, super-helpful staff (thank you, Jean Luc and Karin and Jakub) and concierge service. They helped us book tickets for a concert and made restaurant reservations for us -- their restaurant suggestions were first rate too. They have a charming rooftop terrace for drinks, and access to gardens behind the hotel that are lovely. Also, a fine location - just minutes walking from the Charles Bridge but also not far from the Castle and Cathedral of St. Vitus. I would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy and charming hotel. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. I especially loved the garden—it was such a peaceful spot. The rooftop restaurant was also a lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee and unwind. The hotel is in a great location, close to excellent restaurants and major tourist attractions. Being near the Bridge was a huge plus; I took a morning walk there every day, which was a perfect way to enjoy the area before the crowds arrived. One of the highlights of this hotel is the professional and friendly staff. They helped us make reservations at other restaurants and were always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made our stay so much more comfortable. Breakfast was great. The freshly made omelets were absolutely delicious—I had one every morning during our three-night stay. I would love to come back again in the future.

Staying at the Aria Hotel was an absolute dream. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, cared for, and genuinely looked after. This hotel gets everything right—impeccable service, stunning design, and thoughtful touches throughout. The room was spotless and beautifully appointed, with luxurious linens and a comfortable bed that felt like sinking into a cloud after a long day of exploring Prague. Every detail felt curated with care—from the music-themed decor to the little comforts that made the room feel more like a sanctuary than just a place to sleep. What really stood out, though, was the service. Warm, gracious, never overbearing—just the perfect balance. I felt like a valued guest, not just another booking. The staff went out of their way to ensure I had what I needed, and they did so with genuine smiles and kindness. The location is also unbeatable—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, but steps from the heart of the city. I loved the serene rooftop terrace and the lovely garden, which felt like a hidden escape in the middle of Prague. After a less-than-stellar experience at another hotel nearby, the Aria reminded me what true hospitality feels like. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone who values comfort, elegance, and heart in their travel experience.

A perfect location in Prague with plenty of restaurants and tram stops nearby, as well as conveniently located near the Charles Bridge. Room size just fine for what you need and hotel staff very helpful. Glad we stayed here as it made our stay quite comfortable and efficient.

Google
High-end luxurious hotel in the very heart of Prague. Rooms are newly renovated and look shiny and fancy. Me and my father had some drinks in the lobby bar as well. The cocktails like negroni were delicious and the choice of alcohols was very broad. The only thing missing was probably that there is not a single drafted beer kind available. Overall, the lobby bar is really nicely decorated and creates delightful atmosphere. The reception employees were always kind and helpful, as well as professional.

We had a wonderful stay. Quiet (and dark with shades down!) rooms, comfortable bed, beautiful and artistic interior. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Prague.

So lovely and clean. Close to the bridge and castle. Room was nice. Probably should have asked for view. Breakfast is well worth it and gardens behind hotel are beautiful. 💯 would stay here again. Great bath products and entirely soundproof. Gem of a hotel.

Yelp
Great location. Amazing breakfasts and 5 star terrace dining. Located in heart of old town Prague

Yelp
Definitely have to agree with the other reviews. The rooms are very nice and immaculate. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive. One caveat: If you drive here, definitely book the parking. The price is kind of steep, but there really is no parking anywhere else. I would also book it in advance because it fills up pretty quickly.

Yelp
This hotel is AMAZING! The accommodations are incredible, the staff extremely service oriented, the outdoor terrace restaurant and view outstanding. Everything to like, period. I had just finished cycling down from Berlin and wanted a 1st class hotel to enjoy while i visited Prague for a weekend!!! The suite is so nice and everyone goes out of way to pamper you. I am completely blown away. The folks who run this hotel are doing something right.

Yelp
I stayed here during my Euro Vaca back in the summer of 2014 with my boyfriend. We had visited Berlin beforehand and traveled to Prague by train. Let me start off by saying that this is by far the nicest hotel I have ever been to. EVER. I've traveled quite a bit, and have been lucky enough to have stayed in some very nice, 5-star hotels. But Hotel Aria takes the cake. It's a small boutique hotel; a gem in Prague! The theme of Hotel Aria is music. The keys are in the shape of G clefs; even your "do not disturb sign" has Beethoven on it. When you first check in, you'll be offered a tour of the grounds (along with a glass of champagne) which you can take right there or any other time during your stay. There's a bar upstairs on the rooftop, which we did not go to. We opted out of the tour as we were tired from the trip, and unfortunately did not get another opportunity to take it. When you first check into your room, you'll notice a nice plate of chocolates and fruit on the table. The room is BEAUTIFUL. Carpets, lavish rugs, and the biggest, most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! The bathroom is huge with a his and hers shower. There's a desk and computer you can use, but also free Wifi. The room is overall rich, very different from the more business-like atmosphere I'm used to in hotels. The next time I go to Prague, I'm definitely staying at this hotel again!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at the Hotel Aria. The staff was top notch. The amenities really made the experience exceptional. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, LOVED the shower in our room (Louis Armstrong Suite). Best tip, just exchange your US Dollars at the front desk. They have the BEST exchange rate! Had the rooms been a bit fresher in decor I would have given it 5-Stars. I would recommend this to friends!

Yelp
This was the best experience at a hotel I've ever had! From pickup at the airport to check out, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was large and clean. It's steps away from the Charles Bridge. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night, and we both had the Czech tasting menu, which was outstanding. If I'm ever in Prague again I'll definitely be staying here!

Yelp
Prague, the majestic city of 100 spires and a very cheap exchange rate, is my favorite place in the world. I imagine myself on a royal promenade along the city's cobblestone roads admiring the picturesque scenery and glorious architecture. Naturally, when I want to feel like a king, I check into the five star Aria Hotel Prague and immerse myself in its inviting grandeur. The regal hotel was designed by Italian architects Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmelini, best known for their work with fashion legend Gianni Versace. The Aria Hotel's resplendence greets you upon entering its gorgeous lobby with sculptures, paintings and a glass ceiling. I was also greeted with a welcome drink and a free speedy internet connection throughout my entire stay. Aria has an elegant and enchanting musical theme woven throughout the entire property that truly enhanced the experience. This luxury hotel has a superb location, only a three minute walk from Charles Bridge. You will be enthralled by the private access to the scenic, baroque Vrtbovska Garden, as well as the spectacular Roof Garden Terrace with sweeping views of the entire illustrious city. Taking a deep breath and lingering a while is highly recommended. The Aria hotel has four floors, each dedicated to a major genre of music, its decor paying homage to the greatest artists and composers of all time with CD's, art and books. Featured artists include Brahms, Bernstein for Classical; Elvis and Sinatra for Contemporary; Maria Callas and Mozart for Opera and Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong for Jazz. Musical notes on the hallway carpet led the way towards my commodious accommodations. As I opened the door to my ravishing room, I was embraced by the soothing Classical music that began to stream from the speakers. Sometimes hotel rooms can exude a cold and sterile feeling, but this elegantly decorated room vibrated with a fantastic energy. Adding to the already marvelous sensations, was the BEST shower head I have ever experienced. Like an ample waterfall, water cascaded from it with such a blissful force that 30 minute minutes later, I was still enjoying this delicious deluge. One of my favorite facets of my stay was at Coda, the incredible restaurant in the hotel. The splendid cuisine, devotion towards ingredients, sublime art & architecture, as well as the live pianist, created a symphonic ambiance for all of my senses. It was my favorite meal in Prague and you can see the full Coda review on my site. There is also a stunning music salon featuring a striking wood-burning fireplace and rich distressed leather seating where I enjoyed after dinner drinks by the fire. The breakfast buffet is gratis and offers a scrumptious, wide array of food including European croissants, omelettes made to order, as well as fish, meat, cereal and fruit options. Staying at the Aria Hotel Prague was one of the highlights of my phenomenal trip. The hotel is sumptuous, cozy and ingrained with love and music. The staff is warm, the location is perfect, and the restaurant stimulated all of my senses. This is the best Hotel in Prague. Yelp
We stayed there with our family this Christmas break. An awesome place with hospitality at its best. Loved the experience, recommend it highly. The dinner at CODA restaurant not to be missed.

Yelp
My stay at the Hotel Aria was one of the prime experiences I ever had at a hotel. Jiri and his staff were very professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. The service was first rate, room was always clean and well appointed. The music library is top notch. The amenities, including the apples, were nicely done. The Czech tasting menu in the dining room is not to be missed. Well done. I plan a return visit.

Yelp
I loved mostly everything about this hotel. The people at the front desk were wonderful. I thought the theme of music was a cute touch. So why give it a 3? Every morning when I would go down to breakfast, I had this bitch of a server to bring my family and I coffee. I'm not sure if she didn't like that I came to breakfast with no make up on and in baggy clothes or what, but having to wake up with to this old lady before I even had my coffee was the most annoying thing.

Yelp
Great location. Amazing staff. Wonderful hotel. I love the theme and detail of this hotel.

Yelp
First time visit to Prague. Aria is top notch. For those old enough to recall the Stanford Court in San Francisco in the late 70' early 80's (before it was sold) the Aria is as close as I've seen in 35 years. The attention to detail is complete. It's a small hotel and convenient to the Prague Castle area. My only recommendation: we had room 211 on the second floor ( a Junior Suite) and it was a bit loud. I'm sure they would have moved us but my wife does not like to move once she has unpacked. No bit thing but get an upper floor if possible.
