Aries Hotel & SPA

We went over the New Year’s Eve holiday. The property is very appealing traditional wooden decoration and the location is wonderful. Upon arrival we were greeted with a choice of tea and hot wine in the lobby. Everything seemed perfect until we have experienced the New Year’s Eve party and the first day of January. The NYE meal was 5 course meal and between each course was 30-1 hour wait for the next dish. There was no food available during the day so we were hungry even though we had a lunch outside the property. The dishes were small portions, lacked creation and taste. I ended up eating only 2 courses because the main dish was terrible. The next day was even worse! The hotel was heavily understaffed and the food for breakfast and dinner was just dry, tasteless and very limited in choice. I have eaten bare minimum just so I wouldn’t be hungry. Unfortunately, my family member eat their guloush and he got food poisoned. Their restaurant service was so poor that we had to serve our own water and the plates kept piling up and nobody came to pick it up during the whole time us sitting there. To be fair on the 2nd of January at the breakfast they had more staff working but the food was the same poor quality. Overall, nice hotel, great location, poor service and boring, over salty or tasteless food. Cheers to Concierge service they were the only people who we found knowledgeable and helpful.

We stayed at Aries in November with my wife, son, and our dog. Unfortunately, we found ourselves counting the days until we could go home. While the hotel has potential, several issues made our stay far from the 5-star experience we expected.|1. Room Allocation|We booked the Aries Suite, one of the hotel’s premium and more expensive room categories, hoping for extra comfort. Instead, we were assigned a ground-floor suite facing the parking lot—certainly not what one expects from a “signature” suite.|Additionally, the curtains were too short and the so-called blackout curtains did not block out light at all, making restful sleep difficult.|2. Restaurant Staff & Service|On our first evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other and the kitchen than looking after guests.|Breakfast service was even more disappointing. When my wife asked whether the pancakes would be replenished, the waitress replied, “Będą jak będą” (“They’ll be ready when they’re ready”)—a surprisingly unprofessional response from a hotel claiming 5-star standards.|Overall, the breakfast staff appeared disengaged and unhappy to be there, with one exception: an older lady with short hair who was incredibly kind to our son. Her warmth stood out in an otherwise indifferent atmosphere.|3. Parking Management|Having on-site parking is a real advantage in Zakopane. However, it’s poorly managed. Many cars park across two spaces, resulting in a half-empty lot that is still considered “full.”|Proper supervision—or better yet, a valet service, which is quite standard for a 5-star property—would significantly improve this situation.|Positive Notes|Not everything was negative. The food was very good, and the reception, concierge, and housekeeping teams were polite and helpful. The location of the hotel is also excellent.|Final Thoughts|Overall, this hotel feels much closer to a good 4-star property than a 5-star one. Under normal circumstances, that wouldn’t be a problem—but when you pay for a 5-star experience, your expectations naturally rise.|Sadly, we do not plan on returning.

Right next to the center with shopping and restaurants. Amazing Christmas decoration. Very friendly staff. Big and cosy room with big balcony. Amazing breakfast buffet. Small, but nice Sauna landscape Only a few polish TV channels. Everything throughout the Hotel (and the country) written only in Polish. It is unacceptable for a hotel that advertises itself as a five star hotel to not have international TV in the rooms and not having English language communication. Casting iPhone/laptop on TV did not work, despite following the instructions on the TV. Casting Android phone worked once accidentally, but could not be repeated ever again. Sauna full of Polish and Hungarian people coming from the pool and sitting in wet bathing suits, in the 70-90 degree chambers. These prude people clearly have no clue, what a sauna is for. They think, it's some kind of amusement park attraction that you try for five minutes. Staff should enforce textil free entrance. If you are the only one who is doing it right, it might get unpleasant.

Amazing hotel! Even before our arrival, we received warm and personal assistance from Mateusz Topór, the hotel’s concierge, who patiently guided us with great recommendations about the hotel and the area. The hotel itself is stunning – spacious, clean rooms with breathtaking views of the snowy mountains. The spa area is perfect: pool, sauna, and outdoor jacuzzi – a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. Breakfast is rich, varied, and absolutely delicious! The Aries Hotel & Spa enjoys a wonderful location right in the heart of Zakopane — perfectly suited to its Alpine-inspired design, which feels both authentic and cozy against the backdrop of the Tatra Mountains. The breakfast spread is impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality selections. The buffet includes mountain cheeses, cured meats, smoked and marinated fish, and traditional Polish salads, along with made-to-order eggs and complimentary champagne — a lovely touch to start the day. We also enjoyed dinner at Halka Restaurant, where the beetroot soup was flavorful (though rich), the foie gras beautifully prepared, and the saddle of lamb tender and delicious. The Spa is a highlight — offering an excellent range of treatments and a serene atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our sessions there. The indoor pool is inviting, and the two outdoor covered jacuzzis are a perfect way to relax after sightseeing or a spa visit. The rooms are decorated in a whimsical, mountain-chic style, which adds charm and personality. Ours was well maintained throughout our stay. The only drawback was discovering that both duvets were damp on our second night — one entirely along the edge and the other with a large wet area in the center. Despite that unfortunate incident, the overall experience was very enjoyable, and we appreciated the combination of comfort, character, and thoughtful amenities that make this property a standout in Zakopane.

The Aries Hotel & Spa is a Swiss chalet–style resort that perfectly blends rustic mountain charm with modern luxury. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is warm, inviting, and authentically highland in character. The reception staff is courteousand professional.||The spa and wellness area feature an inviting indoor pool, two covered, outdoor, soothing jacuzzis, and a full-service spa that’s ideal after a day of exploring or hiking in the Tatras. It’s one of the highlights of the stay and adds a real sense of relaxation and indulgence.||We enjoyed dining at Koliba Restaurant, which offers excellent local cuisine with refined presentation and attentive service. The abundant morning breakfast buffet is served in the same dining room offering many choices, including mountain cheeses, meats, smoked/marinated fish, Polish salads and made-to-order eggs with complimentary champagne. The hotel bar is tucked away in the back, it could be better stocked. It has limited offerings and garnishes.||The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from Krupówki Street, Zakopane’s main shopping and dining area, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private.||Overall, the Aries Hotel & Spa delivers the perfect balance of comfort, atmosphere, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Zakopane in a luxurious mountain setting.

I had high expectations for the Arie Hotel in Zakopane, especially considering the relatively high prices, but unfortunately my stay was disappointing. Upon departure, I felt that the staff did not care at all about my experience. When I was at the reception, Mr. Jan didn’t even ask how my stay was. To me, this clearly shows that the hotel does not value guest feedback – as long as you pay and leave, that seems to be enough.|The only positive aspect was the lady at the reception during check-in, Olga, who was very friendly. Unfortunately, that was the only bright spot.|The biggest issue occurred during dinner at the hotel restaurant “Halka.” We were three adults plus a child, and I had found a drink voucher in my room that I wanted to use. When I asked in the restaurant, I was told in an unfriendly and arrogant tone that only one voucher per person could be used, even though there were three of us. This made no sense to me, especially considering that one night at the hotel costs over 1000 PLN, and dinner for three adults and a child would have been an additional 600–700 PLN. I find it petty to deny guests such small things when they are already paying so much. The voucher also did not indicate that it was only for one person.|During check-out, I also told Mr. Jan that I expected a response from the hotel management regarding these incidents. To this day, I have not received any reply, which makes the whole situation even more frustrating. It seems like the hotel has no interest in taking care of guest satisfaction.|The room was okay but nothing special, and the swimming pool area was disappointing. The water was too cold, and the pool was far too small to actually swim in.|Overall, my stay at the Arie Hotel Zakopane was disappointing, and I will definitely not return. For the price they charge, there are much better alternatives in the area.

My second stay here and again. Am always excited to come back to this wonderful mountain chalet style hotel where every little detail and finishing touch doesn’t go unnoticed. The decor makes it along with the wonderful staff. The hotel is cosy and warm and our room 206 had the biggest bathroom ever, plus a wonderful Mountain View. The spa area is one of the main reasons I love to come back here, as it’s clean, warm and quite frankly amazingly relaxing! The breakfast provided is plentiful and delicious and whilst we were there the restaurant was closed due to a big conference, the hotel didn’t feel overwhelmed with delegates! We are most definitely coming back next year!

We stayed here in Sep 2017 for 3 days and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean and not crammed (not to mention, the nice little decor touches are inspired by the surrounding mountains and wilderness). The breakfast buffet was so varied and so good that we could have stayed 2 weeks and still enjoyed it every morning. The hotel staff was very helpful. The bars (2 of them) were both great, and the one that serves food was also awesome (nice fireplaces help keep it cozy). The indoor pool and outdoor hot tubs were a great way to relax and spend some time under the evening stars. And we splurged for a massage in the spa, which was totally worth it! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Zakopane.

It was honestly the best hotel I've ever stayed at. When we got there I think the hotel was not really busy so they decided to upgrade our room. We had a nice, beautiful two-story room. The weather was unfortunately pretty bad, so we couldn't enjoy the town but at least the hotel was so nice that it didn't really matter since we spent a couple of days relaxing instead. We had the indoor pool and outdoor spa almost to ourselves. And the breakfast buffet was amaaaazing. So many delicious dishes to choose from. And the staff is friendly and speaks English. We needed to print our boarding passes and the lady at the front desk did it for us. I wish I didn't live so far away so I could go back.

No complains. Our staying was absolutely a pleasure. I was born in Poland and I am proud of places like this! Breakfast was fantastic. Thank You!
