Ariston Restaurant

One of the best experiences I have had from a Greek restuarnt (even coming from a Greek). From the moment I walked in, to tge moment I left the whole experience was exceprional. The staff were professional, brilliant and could not do enough. The food, also impeccable. A must stop for anyone visiting Frankfurt!

Delicious food, nice ambience and friendly service.

I was unfortunately disappointed. I used to go to ARISTON regularly between 2017 and 2020, and the quality of the food has dropped significantly. Everything is drenched in what tastes like an intense feta sauce. Our octopus was rubbery, our bifteki was too salty. The saganaki tasted and looked like it was frozen and deep fried. Service was attentive, but nothing exceptional. I hope it was a fluke, as I used to consider this a true gem. But they didn’t hit the mark tonight.

It was pre-booked. The service is extremely long. I understand that some restaurants may have an issue with kitchen , but to wait for fish for more than an hour - it is outstandingly long. And I was frustrated with quality. The fish was too much oily with no need. Taste is spoiled. Not healthy and not tasty. I am disappointed with my choice of the restaurant and do not recommend it.

Lovely. The only issue was too much food ... Which we could not take with us as we were staying in a hotel. I think that the waiter should have told us how much we ordered and a bit of portion control! But both waiters were very friendly. The restaurant nice and food extremely fresh. The location is central too. I did find the salad a bit over priced but the quality was amazing so I should not complain too much. The wine went well with the meal. All in all a good meal... In a quiet calm atmosphere

It was an amazing overall experience ! The staff is super friendly, helpful and nice- they do their best to make you feel welcomed and we really felt super comfortable. The interior is good it has a nice atmosphere. Their loukoumades are the best ones I have tried so far, really amazing- 5 stars for the loukoumades!! The food in general was ok for a Greek restaurant in Germany. Some dishes like the truffle paste and melitzana were extraordinary tasty!

This restaurant is next to konstablewache, really in the heart of the city center, amazing service, waitress were really nice and helpful. 😁 We had different appetizers to start, and they were really tasty and nice Main dishes wouldn't said are that much, without the appetizers it may wouldn't be enough. Wouldn't say it's cheap and there is lot of meet/fish/chicken options, but definitely worth to try it 😊😄🤩 Nice environment inside the restaurant, cute and pleasant 😊 definitely will come back😊

Es gibt viele gute Griechen in Frankfurt, aber das Ariston ist unser Favorit. Die Gründe: 1) Das Essen ist unglaublich frisch. Man schmeckt es in jeder Zucchini und jeder Tomate, die sich unter dem Bifteki verstecken und natürlich bei den gegrillten Fischen. 2) Die Präsentation ist raffiniert. Für durchaus akzeptable Preis (EUR11-18/Hauptspeise und unter EUR10 pro Vorspeise) bekommt man wunderbar angerichtetes Essen, das auch durch seinen Geschmack besticht. 3) Der Service ist gut, relativ aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir werden hier öfters herkommen!

We have been touring Germany for 12 days; this meal lands in the top 3! The grilled Lamb chops were cooked perfectly The marinade was a lemon and thyme... fantastic balance, not overpowering The side mixed salad was wonderful and fresh! If in Frankfurt, it is worth a train ride!

Sat indoors and server/ambiance is nice. But some fruit flies and a fly bothered me. First the complimentary items arrive; it included bread (not freshly baked) and side of sauce, feta cheese and olives. May be 3/5 stars I ordered the set menu 3 with lamb shoulder as the main course. The starter was a grilled cheese and mushrooms. Overall good but slightly more salty for my taste. I'd give it 3.5/5 stars Lamb shoulder really took the cake. Super tender and tasty. The marination was great. I'd give it 5/5 Lastly, the dessert. It was baklava ice cream with light chocolate soufflé. I liked it. Would give it 4/5 Servings size is good and I was very full towards the end. With everything added up and how it felt towards the end of it, I'd give overall 4.5/5 stars! Since I can't do half star, will give it even 4 (due to bugs bugging me, and I don't like it!) Overall I'd recommend this place!

Not sure if my review saved so I am summarizing what I last wrote. Service was slow, waited about 15-20 minutes for our drinks then another hour after eating our appetizer for our main entree. Lamb dish was dry and rubbery and there was very little sauce offered with the Bifteki plate. I did not even bother to ask for another side of sauce as I figured it would just take too long for them to get it. But keep in mind we did come in on a busy Valentine's Day dinner night, but we had such high expectations that just left us disappointed and wish we had chosen another location for our romantic night. However, the waiters were very kind so I feel bad leaving a bad review so we will consider giving them another try. Until then, though, I can not recommend as I have had such better Greek food elsewhere.

Lovely little Mediterranean bistro nestled in a charming corner location. Memorable bites this time were the fried anchovies & baba ghanoush. I've eaten here a couple times over my 15+ years coming to the Messe, I have no real complaints. The food is great, good flavours, good wines, beautiful atmosphere. It's also not too noisy or too big. It's cute, clean, nice. I can't give a full 5 stars, however, because we had to ask for drinks multiple times. They didn't have their service game together the last time I ate here. Maybe it was just that evening, I'm certainly going to give them another chance next year when we come back for 2020 Messe.

We stopped in for a lunch after arriving into Frankfurt based on the reviews. We received decent but inattentive service. We shared 3 appetizers: eggplant spread, fried cheese, and grape leaves & rice. The grape leaves were disappointingly dry and with very little rice in them. The suvlaki was a really large dish that easily could have been shared by two. They seared the chicken nicely and it came with sautéed vegetables. The waiter gave us quite a bit of grief for not having finished the full meal, to the point where it was a bit awkward. They did give us a glass of very nice sweet wine as a thank you. Overall okay but not fantastic.

Perhaps we just came on a busy night and had the misfortune of not seeing or tasting what everyone did, but I honestly could not recommend this place if we were to base it off food and service. Came in on a busy Valentine's Day dinner night and we waited about 15-20 minutes for our drinks. We understand how busy places can get so we kept our patience. We did have some pumpkin soup for starters, which was delicious, but then we waited a full hour after that until our entrees arrived. We sat there...watching all the other couples on either sides of us (we were seated in a middle table) receive their food though they arrived much later than we did and begin ordering dessert before our meals even touched our tongues. Boyfriend ordered a lamb dish and received a very dry hunk of meat, but mine was pretty tasty. I ordered the Bifteki, but the amount of sauce it comes with is pretty small and though I could have asked for more, I figured I would be waiting a long time for even that so I did not bother and just ate more than half my meat dry. Then came the dessert, which I did not finish. It was some bread crumb with vanilla ice cream, and the waiter who was serving us finally took notice and was kind enough to ask if there was something wrong with the dish. I had to be brutally honest and say it was just not very good. So, in conclusion, the staff were very kind and I hate to leave such a bad review, and again perhaps we just came on a bad night, but I truly cannot recommend as I have tried such other great Greek restaurants ( I LOVE LOVE LOVE Greek food). But I will say that perhaps one day we will give it another shot, and I can see that this place is probably better for larger group patrons, as that was what a majority of the people in the restaurant were. But again, I cannot recommend until perhaps after that second try.

Very nice staff and good and authentic greek food. The greek sala was excelent and so was the suvlaki Recomended!

Our experience in this restaurant was ok till the moment they brought us our check. We had quite a big meal, with appetizers, entrees, desserts, a bottle of wine. We were quite a good business for this restaurant, but they thought they could make more from us. The matter is that when we just arrived and we ordered our sparkling rose wine - they brought us two glasses one third full - very strange portion for people who moved from the States. So we decided we would rather order a bottle when wine portioning is so scarce. Well, in the end of it - they charged us both the price of a bottle AND those two glasses. I must mention: we did ask our waiter whether we still can change it and go for the bottle instead of glasses. It was a really sour point and ruined the whole experience completely. Very sneaky approach. I dnt wish success to this place cheating their clients. Definitely we wnt be back!

Great place.. still can remember the loveliness and flavor of those lamp chops. Best I've ever had. Outdoor plentiful seating and lamps for chilly nights. Service on point. Made my night to have a great meal after a long day of travel.

Superb high end Greek (hard to find in Germany) with a varied menu in the heart of Frankfurt. Nice ambiance and decent outdoor seating (as weather permits). Neighborhood is a bit mixed but that's Frankfurt. Foods delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Came here on a cold night and was pleasantly thrilled with the quality of food. The ambiance at the hotel is great as well and it's just an overall great place to come to. I ordered the sea bass which was amazing

Very good food. I ate here months ago and still remember the sea bass. It was really good. I will be back when in town for business.

The service here was excellent. The lamb and vegetables were tender and delicious, the veal not so good. Dimello Espresso was the best coffee I've ever had. Most of the staff is actually Greek.

Excellent food and large portion sizes. The feta cream sauce was delicious as were the vegetables and bread. This isn't your typical Greek restaurant. The food is much higher quality. I was pleasantly surprised.

Best Mediterranean food I've ever had- bar none- anywhere. And it's not even close. Excellent service. Amazing flavors. Guaranteed excellent experience. We came here once last year and made sure to come here again before flying home.

Fancy-pants Greek food worth 5x döner prices.

Love the vibe in this place, it is packed on a random freezing week night. Various languages, including Greek-that's a good sign. The staff takes pride in the food they are offering, and service was good. The man who helped me had good recommendations. The food was well prepared, and flavorful. I would come back, and with a larger group.

Went here for a business dinner and it was amazing! We had a massive entrecote which was cut on the table and grilled to perfection! Adding the surperb red wines made it a delightful dinning experience.

Great Greek restaurant that is for all occasions. Probably my favorite. I highly recommend it!

The food was very tasty and the restaurant itself is very beautiful. Cocktail Hugo was very good and meatballs totally recommendable :) Loved it.

Awesome service. The best fried squid I've ever had. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had the octopus which was cooked perfectly. Our server recommended an excellent wine. Went in thinking it'd be a typical Greek restaurant with the same old boring food, but was totally surprised at the quality of the food, decor, service, and just about everything.

Fantastic restaurant. Great seafood, excellent atmosphere and friendly and funny waiters. Prices are absolutely fair. Make sure to go there!
