Thank you so much for the most wonderful and beautiful stay! - The rooms are so beautiful and clean, the towels smell sooo nice. 10/10 cleanliness! - The breakfast is so yummy everyday prepared by the host and it was the best experience just to relax and enjoy. - The location is perfect to explore Santa Teresa! Nice bars and restaurants nearby, beautiful beach not too crowded. - Bonus points for a really nice Spotify playlist the host was playing in the common area. - Great tip from the host to try Playa Hermosa for surfing beginners which is a 10min drive. Playa Santa Teresa can be tricky for beginners. - They do a little renovation on top of the building but it didn’t disturb us at any point. Would love to comeback one day to this paradise ❤️

Our stay was for 3 nights, rooms were beautiful , very clean and comfortable . High ceilings, excellent design with a large 4 door glass sliding door to your private patio to enjoy the outside , all the windows and doors have sound proof glass as you need this due to the busy road outside . 1st floor has has beautiful landscaping around the pool. Modern door and gate locks with code button for keyless entry ( convenient not to carry keys around ) , very close to a cafe with fresh coffee and bakery items ( cinnamon rolls are fantastic) many restaurants nearby, beaches are beautiful and within walking distance. We loved the morning breakfast and service ! Thank you Carmel !

Positive surprised with the modern and minimalistic decoration as well as the spacious room. The access to the hotel is via passcode so you can walk free of keys and cards and relax without stuff on the beach. The owner is genuinely kind. Homemade breakfast. I would highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Arjau hotel. The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, with thoughtful details that made the space feel both comfortable and stylish. Can I just say how amazing this hotel and owner are? The owner has such a big heart. I was staying somewhere else and couldn’t sleep because of ants in my bed, wanted to find another place to stay. He woke up to give me a place in his hotel and was so kind, empathetic and caring. This is an incredibly lovely experience not only because the hotel itself is beautiful but because the owner is also. I was a difficult guest, asking a lot in the middle of the night and he helped me tremendously and with such kindness. He not only owns and manages but he serves the food also and remembers every person! So sweet. It’s been great to practice my Spanish too because the staff and guests here don’t speak much English (everywhere else is super American - so nice to be around locals!). And the included breakfast is amazing. Even though just for one night, I’m happy here. Note Santa Teresa is noisy, no matter where you stay. And it’s still growing so things aren’t perfect. However I think it’s the people that make the difference, and you have that here at ARjAU.

Impeccable. This boutique hotel is a gem! From the enormous contemporary rooms, to the quality of the linens, to the attention from the lovely Spanish owners Antonia & Carmel. We truly wish we could have stayed here longer. Carmel always had great suggestions on what to do and where to go, which was so helpful. The hotel is situated super conveniently just steps from Santa Teresa beach. With many delicious restaurants, coffee shops and cute boutiques at a walking distance. Delicious breakfast was made for us every morning. And for a very affordable fee, Carmel made us authentic Spanish lobster paella on our second night, it was truly spectacular! We were also able to wash clothes, which was so convenient for us since we still had some more traveling to do in gorgeous Costa Rica. ||With 4 well appointed suites, delicious daily breakfast and a pool, we will be back with family soon. Loved this hotel! The design, comfort, quality of materials and amenities of the hotel and warm welcome of its owners. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was very clean, quiet with large balconies and a great pool area. The bathrooms are large and well-equipped, modern and well-lit. Located in the heart of the town, with great cafes and boutiques nearby. The special treat: a huge paella, made for us by the owner! Sylvie and François, Canada, January 2024
