While Ko Samui is generally more laid-back than party hubs like Phuket, Pattaya, or Bangkok, it still has spots that come alive after dark—Ark Bar being the standout. Set right on the beach, it transforms the island’s calm atmosphere into a vibrant party scene with energetic DJ sets and lively beach vibes. They organize fire shows every evening. Mesmerizing to see the performers do their tricks with fire - making it a top choice for anyone looking to mix tropical relaxation with electric nightlife. And the best part is, food and drinks are not that pricey. Definitely recommended!

The location is excellent. It’s a very well-maintained resort complex near the beach, with plenty of facilities. Unfortunately, some rooms have a damp, moldy smell that only goes away when you turn on the air conditioning. In my opinion, the bathroom doesn’t have proper ventilation, and I think the smell comes from there. We spent New Year’s Eve here (a group of 12 people) and we had an amazing time. If we get the chance, we’ll gladly come back. Our rooms were relatively close to the bar, and the music could be heard quite loudly in the room, including the low frequencies, until around 2:00 AM. Keep this in mind if you’re looking for complete peace and quiet. The fire show is truly beautiful, but on the last evening the smell of diesel/gasoline was far too strong because of the wind, and we had to leave and go to another terrace. Maybe in the future you could consider replacing this show with something that doesn’t pollute the atmosphere, and if the weather conditions aren’t favorable, it could be cancelled... people don’t come here just for this show anyway.

Fun, Vibrant & Perfect for Young Travelers! This hotel is ideal if you love energy, music, and nightlife. We usually come here for birthdays book a night, enjoy the ocean breeze, and join the evening beach party with fire shows, great food, and tasty cocktails (the strawberry daiquiri is a must-try!). The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the location is unbeatable right in the heart of Chaweng, so you can walk everywhere easily. The staff is friendly and always helpful, which adds to the relaxed, festive vibe. We had so much fun that we even extended our stay. There was some noise until about 2 AM because our room was close to the pool, but it didn’t bother us much. Only minor issue was low hot-water pressure in the shower. During the day, the place is calm and chill, and in the evening it turns into a lively spot perfect for EDM lovers. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant serves consistently good food with options for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. Overall, a great choice if you want to be in the center of Chaweng’s nightlife and enjoy a fun, energetic stay. Highly recommended!

The parties at ARKbar are amazing. Within a 5-day-stay at Ko Samui we went there twice - both times great experiences! International crowd, decent music (don't expect too much quality tho) and fair prices for a big party place like this.

I absolutely loved this beach club. The atmosphere is amazing, the pool area is super chill, and the views are stunning. A huge shoutout to the staff—they were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole visit perfect. If you're in Samui, this is the place to be for a great vibe and excellent service. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 days at Ark Bar Beach Resort in Koh Samui. The property itself is fabulous — perfectly located right on the beach and has an amazing party vibe. The evening fire show is a great experience, and the pool area is always lively and full of energy. However, the rooms were quite disappointing. The air conditioning took nearly 2–3 hours to cool the room, and when I brought this up with the reception, they mentioned that’s just how it is. Their suggested solution was to leave the AC running while we were out and leave the key in the room — which meant I had to go to reception every time I needed to get back in. Definitely not convenient. Overall, the resort is great for party lovers and beach access, but if you’re looking for comfort or a relaxing stay, the rooms fall short. The good part is that scooter rentals, taxi service, and ferry options are easily available right outside the resort.

Amazing resort with stunning sea views and great vibes! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pools are large and beautifully maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, adding to the overall pleasant experience. They host fun pool parties every Wednesday and Friday, which are a must-attend if you love music and a lively atmosphere. Just a small tip — be mindful of your access cards as they’re required for both the entry gate and pool towels. If you’re a party lover, this resort is an unmissable experience!
